billymade, thanks for the Hazet film links. I like the posts that question Hazet warranty and finish etc. I have never broken a Hazet tool, dumb luck? ok maybe, but I don't think so. I don't know if Hazet will warranty old stuff, but I never had to, check out the red "pop" button on the Hazet torque wrench, cool no subtle click. Quality of a product is where it is at, whats a warranty??Sears has a lifetime warranty you have to use when the tool is new at times, it's still apain, who cares if they give you another marginal tool to replace it. Give me a tool that won't break. Hazet Torx sockets are the best in the world, at least it is the only brand I never broke and I have impact abused them, when necessary. Snap-on makes their tools so "pretty" for marketing, and their recent Taiwan bull s... ticks me off. So German tools are imports, tough as tough gets, not as pretty but who cares. I doubt you will ever see a cheap labor "asian" tool from Hazet it's the last company who says we are expensive, high quality, and if you don't like it, we don't care. Snap-on used to be a similar company, but sold out and will continually sell out, hence my Taiwan/SO 80series ratchet . It used to just be Blue Point that could be imported, now their passing asian stuff of as SO hardline and don't even have the nuts to engrave it on the tool, where will it end, their prices didn't get any cheaper. The big tool companies are losing their focus, I'm a proffesional, that wants the strongest damn tool I can buy, maybe not for your average Joe, but that's what I need and I will pay the price. If I want cheap imported stuff to beat on, for junkyard, or to cut up and fabricate a tool, we have harbor freight, I don't want an import with a fancy dress and name. I gave my Taiwan ratchet back to my Snap-on guy and told him SO can keep it, not because it was a bad tool, but because the company is playing bull s... games, and I don't consider it the ultimate ratchet for three figure money. If I'm gonna be a USA made traitor, I want the best product, not a cheap knock off.
