Thanks a lot for this. Even though it was a little weird having to change the zip code, I am in for 5 and saved $135. I tried jumping back and forth with the zips (I have an account with HD) but the prices changed with it. I paid through Paypal so I didn't have to do anything with the address after it was in the cart. Thanks again.

OP just one question. How the hell did you figure out picking a store in MA to get the better price? You're in WA, right?

How do these compare to the Costco LED fixtures? Looks like these are a single tube versus their dual tube, but that may be meaningless if this design emits more light for a given surface area.

In the "change my store" section of Home Depot website, you enter either of the following:

Zipcode - - > > > Enter this > > > 02215
(then you'll click on store # 2602 for Watertown, MA)

. . . or . . .

Watertown, MA
(then you'll click on store # 2602)

. . . or . . .

Home Depot store # 2602

damn, I was going to purchase 4 but the won't let me use my non-US paypal account.
I have a place in the US I can ship to so that wouldn't have been the issue.

I wonder how close they have to be to one another if you daisychain them?

It looks like these are setup the same way some eBay LED lights are (don't have the link right now) where they **** up against each other with a small connector between them.

In for 2. Been wanting to replace 2 single-bulb fixtures in the garage with some shop lights for a while. Going LED everywhere, so this makes sense from a price, efficiency, and brightness standpoint!

I'm sorry, I'm just not getting it. What kind of pattern would you have to put them in order to put 4 of them daisy-chainded in a standard 2 car garage?

I was thinking of plugging in the first one in the center of the garage ceiling, and then daisy-chaining the rest of them, but I just can't picture the arrangment in my head. I'm looking for fairly even lighting throught the garage. Would this work?

The costco version is direct wire right? or is it also a 3 prong?

This concern would be the same but it is of note in the question & answer section on the HD site, someone has asked how to get a replacement bulb and that has yet to be answered.

Can these be screwed to the ceiling or rafters or do they have to hang from chains due to heat?

I don't know for sure...description says hang from chains, but I've never encountered an LED fixture that got THAT hot.

I got 2 this morning before HD ended the party, 10% less using gift cards. Like others I'm hoping they'll ship, and I'm betting they will. HD has been good about standing behind stuff like this.

Anyone have input how these do in the cold? I like my cold start T12's

Just got a back ordered email on the 6 I had ordered. Hopefully, this isn't the beginning of a cancellation.

Backorder notice for me too. This is probably the only thing that caused them to take it off the website. I bet some guys ordered way more than 6, and we all know SD people might have ordered 50 and then said "I don't know what these are for."

If I had greater faith in these I might have ordered a couple dozen to replace my 8' T12's. Also curious to see if these are as good as the reviews say in terms of light output. This is one reason I've been VERY reluctant to step up to T8 or T5, seems to me fluorescent's days are numbered in general and I might prefer to be on the leading edge of the new wave rather than the tail end of the old wave, esp when upgrading is a considerable investment. (Sorry, but since the deal is basically dead I don't think getting off-topic is a problem at this point).
