Hello guys and gals,
I'm installing a wifi thermostat for a small bathroom radient heated floor. It's running on 240v.
There's already a 240v circuit for other heating in the house was was previously used by the small baseboard heater in the bathroom.
I've installed a new 20 amp breaker to use a dedicated circuit for the flooring and ran the wire to the same box as the previous thermostat.
It's a 16 CU wide Iberville type box.
The circuit for the other heaters is spliced in the box and the new 240v wire is connected to the new thermostat.
So one 12/2 spliced through the box. One 12/2 coming in. Heating wire header going out to the floor. Sensor wire.
Another option would be to use a 4x4 1900 box with a 1/2 inch one gang mud guard. Would that be better then the above?
