Hi,
1st post.
I want to heat my garage. I race motorcycles and want heat in there for tinkering during the winter and keeping my bikes warm
I got a gas line installed a couple of days ago then found a used heater on Craigslist. It's a 60,000 BTU Peerless brand natural gas. I hung it from my ceiling and now need help connecting it all and getting it working properly.
No electrical or HVAC experience but from my limited research looks like I need to do a horizontal vent by cutting a hole in my wall.
Also I checked my electrical panel and it is full. I was thinking that I would add a double pole breaker switch but there is no empty spots left.
Hanging this thing was a small victory in itself doing it by myself to a 12 foot ceiling... man this thing probably weighs over 100lbs, cost me $80 and the gas line was $500 so I'm already into the project for that amount. Don't care to spend a whole lot if I don't have to but probably do right?
Thanks
