I would recommend heavy construction plastic.

Had a friend that lived in their house while they were building it. First winter they made a 12x12 area around their wood stove. Stayed toasty inside the plastic...outside their bottled water would freeze.

10’ wide would be really cramped to work in unless your project car is a King midget ,or maybe a Crosley.

Buy a couple of dozen 2x4 s and a roll of visqueen. Slap the walls up on 2’ centers, slip the plastic on top, and maybe use some 1”x2” to hold it in place.

Alternatively, I think some or the available storage tents are wider, albeit at a higher cost.

Erecting a tent might be a viable temporary workaround.

I'm sure that others have found tents to be a pretty good "field expedient. Not pretty but effective.

Good luck.

The tent arrived today, and we got it assembled and in place. Preliminary tests are positive

I won't have time to really work on the car for a few weeks, but I'll report back in after I do.

I think it is a very good idea if it is for temporary use. But if you plan on working on vehicles every Winter then I would think a more permanent solution would be in order.

Yes, temporary. I'll see if I can really discipline myself to get out there and work. If so, I will look for a more permanent solution.

Just did gaskets and bearings in this 87. Not fun cars to do engine work.
