I've seen one before online somewhere. Can't remember the specifics, but I believe a thorough web search will turn up the info. Have you tried researching the AA site?

Neat looking ratchet.

So, it's made by Wright but doesn't have a name on it? Is that right?
Did that ratchet have a name or model number?
Is that a quick release button on the back of the head?
Were there other handles and heads that interchanged with it?

The brand is GM Co. of Long Island. These aren’t Wright but Wright did make some Frankenstein ratchets.

This post is bugging the **** out of me, I could have sworn on a stack of bibles a mile high that we as a group thought it was a wright design; but as hard as I looked I can not find that old post.

See post # 1 and take a look at the pictures from 1957, Frankenstein yes but not anywhere close in nature.

GM Co. of long Island that one got me by surprise, not sure why they never marked their tools???

Good job 3bay:beer:

I’m pretty sure that’s what it is Woody. A few examples turned up on Ebay a while back. I have also seen them turn up in an Oxwall kit which causes even more confusion.

Here are some Google image search results:

https://www.google.com/search?q=GM+CO.+SOCKET+SET&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=sinv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjR89junOraAhVGy1MKHcgTB10Q_AUIEigC&biw=768&bih=922

The Wright version is better quality. They also made a couple in other brands, I believe Wardmaster and perhaps Fairmount iirc.

Wow...very unusual, completely different and unconventional ratchet but yet...very cool looking!

Thanks for posting and sharing.

Glad it's not just me, Woody!
I can almost guarantee that member four.cycle made a post on GJ about GM Co. Frankenratchets, but for the life of me I can't find his post about them. :dunno: I seem to remember they came in a 2 pc plastic case, top was translucent and had the company name embossed on it.

It’s a side quick release button or what’s going on with this
