Hello all, long time lurker here, decided it was time to introduce myself. I have found this site to be invaluable in learning new things about vintage tools. I have started collecting old Plomb, Craftsman, Snap Ons, etc. In fact my favorite ratchet is an old SK 3/8 drive that once belonged to my grandfather when he was a Greyhound mechanic back in the 50's. I still have his Plomb 3/4" drive breaker bar and 1 7/16 1939 Plomb socket that has his name on it still. I just used it while working on the brakes on my truck recently. Whenever I wrench on my cars and trucks ('46 Ford pickup, 57 Ford Fairlane, '70 Mustang, 86 Mustang, '07 F150) I usually reach for one of the old ratchets, they just feel better than the new stuff. I'll admit, I am a bit of a tool snob, as my wife would say, I always try to buy American, even if it costs a bit more.
