Hi everybody!
As the title explains: I am from Norway, so pardon my bad English typing (and autocorrect).
I have been reading the posts of the Garage Journal for many years (and i miss red dress girl). And I have actually been a member for many years, but hardly posted a thing. My "meant-to-be-garage" never happened because of many reasons, so I have only lurked in the shadows. Now my garage is pretty close to completion and I would like to join in again.
Something about me:
I am a 35 year old male, who lives with my girlfriend of 20 years and two daughters (6 and 3).
I live in a house that I built myself (mostly).
In a pretty rural area of Norway.
A proper garage has always been a dream, so after prioritizing work, girfriend, kids and everything else, it was finally time to realize that dream. And you guys are to blame for the outcome (and the cost). Of course i will make a thread of the garage and the projects inside when I get the time.
My interest in cars and tools is something I blame my father. He has worked as a mechanic, car dealer, carpenter, concrete worker, salesman, seaman, and everything inbetween. This lifestyle has taught me that if I can pay someone to do a job, I could also do it myself.
I have spent many hours of my childhood holding that "f*cking flashlight" right and its only in the later years I have realized how much that has influenced me.
My career started with a summerjob as a welder when I was about 15. Later I was a paperboy, automotive painter, factoryworker, insurance-salesman, tool-salesman and I now manage my own department of a Norwegian company of tools, hoses, welding, hms and whatever our clients need to their job.
I love cars, motorbikes, tools and garages. After I turned 30, I have also grown a facination for gardening. Besides that I try to be a good father and boyfriend, and a good worker.
I look forward to getting to know you guys better, and please comment if you have questions.
