I always use Overheaddoor Company for many years...
http://www.overheaddoor.com
The people are nice and the price is worth it...
I got a price in 2009 for a standard 8 x 16 with
insulation..It was 759.00 ...from Overheaddoor...
But in 2010 when i went to pick it up...It was like 1300.00
...New Prices are a bummer..
So back to the drawing board..,Looking for prices...
Well i was on-line looking at other doors company's and i
needed the true messurments before i order one...
I messed up during framing...The door opening is 7'9" x
16...
It should be 8'...but im working on plans thats in my
head, not on paper...I plan with 9' walls that gives me a
9'ceiling...I frame the header from plates down and never
thought about that i did..but oh-well..
Back to the door...The doors that are 7' or 8' high...I dont
want a 7' door..the 8' door will work but must be a plain
door, not the stamped square door because the top square will
be higher than the opening and the weather strip will not
work...
This door was giving me a headache..All other door company's
are now calling Custom sizes...special tracks, special
this, special that with high special prices ($3200)...For a
standard looking door...
My wife told me to go back to Overheaddoor..if we are paying
that high price for the stamped square door..get a price on
that custom barn looking door we liked in the showroom...
Well i sat down with the saleman, told him want i
wanted, custom size too 7'9" high,,drew it down and a printed
look of the door...
SOLD at $1200.00 Everything, even outside weather strips for
sides and top..and i have room for the elect opener with
standard tracks..insulation too...two inside locks and three
braces..
He laugh at all the papers i had from other places about
special tracks,special this,special that..
I did have to paint it though and install it..
