I have a few old power tools with what I am calling a "Brass Vent Plug". I would like to get some replacements on a refurb I am doing but am not having much luck even finding reference on these. I have some pictures attached for reference.Does anyone know where to get these or a possible modern alternative?

Talking about the one hidden by the handle, correct?

Never seen something like that before. Could you build it out of a bushing and some fine brass screen

RTM, yes it appears to be a screen or vent made of brass. I've actually seen quite a few in older corded tools. In this case its in a Portomag mag drill base but I also have them in a B&D "Holgun" .

I was considering trying to replicate but I'm not sure what would be the best way to go about it since they are fairly thin. Not to mention brazing screen would be a real PITA

Thanks for the suggestions, I think the cigar grommet may work just need to check the OD of the hole. I would have never thought to look that up lol. The snap in panel screens may work aswell
