I saw this on an auction site and didn't know if it was worth buying.
The bit sticking out of the back is worrying.
I presume the pin or screw that holds the “vise nut” or whatever the piece is called, has either been broken or removed.
The color makes me think it’s an import, as does the 6” cast into the side of the vise.
My guess is it’s an import clone of the square steel slide Wilton Mechanics vise.
If it’s only a screw that needs to be replaced to fix the vise nut in place, repair cost would be negligible, unless you have to remove a broken screw, and have the tools to do so.
I can see one of the pope gripping jaws in the photo, but not the other one, and don’t know if the issue is the angle, or a missing jaw.
If a pipe jaw is missing, you probably won’t easily find a replacement, and it would likely not be worth it if you do. ( unless you have absolutely no need for the pipe jaws).
Price wise, I would guess a value of maybe $20 as a repair project, if you want to spend the effort.
The 6” Harbor Freight Doyle vise made from Ductile cast iron, and with a round slide like the Wilton bullet vises is only $200 new in box, and sometimes less expensive.
