I’m looking to replace my recalled harbor freight jack stands and found these for sale. Does anyone have any info on these? There is only a pair, but they look well built.
Any idea of what sort of weight they will support? Thank you for your replies.
Does the scale seem that bad? I didn’t even see it.
Am I the only one seeing scaling rust inside the angle-iron pieces on the ground? I don't suppose the wide middle piece on the ground is in such good-shape either, from the looks of it, though that may have less to-do with the weight-bearing of them than the perimeter pieces.
I don't think I'd be too-interested in stands that had active rusting that these apparently are showing. I recently returned my HFT jackstands for the $ refund, these look more-suspect to me than my nearly-new and rarely-used HFT pieces.
As to the manufacturer, often the cast lifting member has a name cast-into it. I'm sure that you gave them a good going-over. I have another pair of four-legged, veteran stands, they're cast and riveted, they served in a Miami FL gas station/service-repair shop for decades, and they were given to me. Old stands can still serve your uses, but those appear to be deteriorated more-than I would think is safe.
