Help! ISO correct breaker cover/door.

Good morning fellow GJ brethren. I am trying to determine the correct cover for my breaker as the current one is far from being accurate. I’m pretty much ignorant to all things electrical, so any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Dimensions are 32” x 14”

It’s a SIEMENS panel (appears to be in good condition) and most likely the General Electric panels are "roughly" the same size and MAY fit….….. However some modification may be necessary.
There "should be" a sticker on the side panels or stamped "tattoo" inside the panel that indicates the model number of the panel that would help you find the cover on a internet search.
This panel is vintage mid 1980’s to late 1990’s.……. Good luck finding a cover!

BTW! At worst you will have to do a panel change and given the age of the breakers it would be an "investment in the future".

Darn, that’s a bummer. I’m in contract to sell and trying to make it right for the inspection. Looks like I may be investing a bit before I sell. Any idea of what a box replacement would be?

You are going to have a hard time finding a cover, they change a lot. This one might work, but you have to buy the whole panel.

Siemens has just redesigned there panels making them different dimension's

You'll need more than a cover to make it right for inspection. Wires coming in at the bottom and upper right without a connector. Wrong brand 100 amp breaker. Red wires on ground bus (isolated grounds? need marked green). White on dual pole breakers need marked black or other color. Bottom right single pole breakers have black hot but white not connected in panel. Don't see the main bonding jumper to connect the ground bars to the panel shell - if not service panel then grounds need separated from neutrals. If service then GEC missing unless it is at meter.

It would be easier for you to simply let their inspection find everything and then give them $$$$ to settle.

yikes. that panel is a mess.

mixed brand of breakers (I assume it a siemens panel). The eaton BR top right is not kosher

Is this a main service panel or subpanel?

Either way, items are missing for either config

If main, as said above, no bonding screw, no GEC or water/gas bonding wire,

If sub, then neutral needs to be isolated(move EGCs over to ground bar on left), and the EGC feeder wire is missing(or i cant see it up top)....

you cant just use a dead front and or panel cover from another brand. gonna be tough to find the panel cover you need... has to be same brand and model.... needle in a haystack...

If I was the buyer I would insist on a new panel before closing.

Short of pulling a rabbit out of a hat and finding a cover from the same make and model panel you no longer have a UL listed panel assembly and a big fat code violation.

Now there is a record of this known code violation you would need to disclose this should this buyer back out.

There are some older panel covers on ebay for sale-you might get lucky. As for everything else, if your market is like ours is I wouldn't fix it.

Be prepared for sticker shock, but in the long run would be cheaper then a panel swap if one can be found.

I’ve only lived here since last March. The original cover was not here. I can’t answer that question.

You could jury-rig a panel cover but even a newbie inspector would call out some of the other issues. A current Siemens panel would be either 30" or 36" so the cover wouldn't fit your 32" but drilling a few mounting holes would at least cover things.
