All,
Just looking for some advice on how best to clean and attack these Napa Echlin cabinets, i scored locally. I am shooting for that rat rod clear coat, save the patina approach before i hang them. They are pretty crusty here is my plan of attack let me know if there is something i am missing or if there is a better way.
Any other considerations or things to avoid, i want to remove or reduce rust while keeping the paint, do you think the bar keepers or clr will damage the existing paint? Anyone done a similar process with good results? I was going to spend the money on Papi's Patina product, but a few boards say that penetrol will give the same look and same protection. LMK your thoughts if you have done something similar with good results.

- Scrub with Bar Keepers friend; along with course brillo pads on a DA

- Scrub again with spray bottle CLR and fine brillo pad on DA

- Wipe down inside and out with Acetone

- Wipe on penetrol for clear coat type finish
