Picked up this $10 vintage tool/tackle box awhile back and am looking for any background on the maker Walton Products out of Woodstock Illinois. Most of their boxes were made in Union IL from the few you find on ebay. Any background on the company or how long they were in business? Can't find much after alot of searching. My guess is from 50's or 60's.
Seems most of these were used as tackle boxes but the previous owner used it like I would for around the house. Came with some Thorsen/P&C wrenches, original cork liners, key, and the clever grip-loc handle to keep it from flying open. For a basic tool box it seems very well made and only has minor paint loss. I know it's value is about what I paid so I'm happy to just put it on the bench and keep it working.
