I just picked up two of the exact same Handyman tool boards at a garage sale. They are in nice shape with the tool list still intact on the back. Here is some pics of one. If you have any of the tools you see listed feel free to let me buy them:) Thanks

I like the cloth handle for hanging on the wall. You just grab it off the wall and carry it all to your repair or whatever...

These boards are from before 1958. I'm going to look in my catalogs to try and date them. I'm thinking JC Penby and Penncraft only go back in late 60's early 70's but that's a guess

Very cool toolboard

I have the 166 pliers if you need them.

I also have a 151-s(or could be 151-5) slip joint pliers, and a 40-10 newer style groove joint pliers. the 151 and 40 are newer style Utica made pliers.

I missed this thread when originally posted...

Excellent board! How about a shot showing what you have managed to fill to date?

It's very much a function of brand, condition & collectability, but they can go for surprising money if the right person sees them.

Never throw them out! In fact, if you see them cheap at a garage sale, grab 'em and you may make a few bucks listing them here in the classifieds...

I have something like 30 or 40 tool display boards at the moment. I was able to pick most up for $30 or less, although for some I paid more. The majority were obtained thanks to the great generosity of GJ members all over the country helping me out by picking them up from sellers and facilitating shipping.

I have also sold around 20 or 25 boards. I always used that $30 per board figure to guide my pricing. Really rare boards will of course sell for more. And the market for these is so small and vacillating that vale really depends on how badly a person who sees a board wants it.

Hello, Glad to join the Garage Journal Board. I am a new Herbrand tool collector. I purchased the contents of an old service garage and obtained some really cool Herbrand Dealer signs that I am currently filling up. It has really been fun locating the tools. Many thanks to Darrin for all the Herbrand Tool information last winter. I love your Handyman tool sign. Looks awesome filled up.
