I've decided to just **** it up and post a couple of photos of what we affectionately call "the barn".

Let me state for the record that its currently a "work in progress". (Which is a nice way of saying its a complete mess.) I still have a ton of organizing and general work to do out there, as well as a million other little projects to make it more workable for me long term. And Its nowhere near as nicely finished as alot of the other garages on here. But it works for me, I don't have to worry about how nasty the cars are that I roll into there, or how messy I am working on them. And someday it will be alot better organized than it is now.

Basic Specs:

Garage portion: 42' x 75'. Miracle truss steel building. 14' eaves. Clear span truss. (21' to the peak) One 10'W x 12'T and One 20'W x 12'T roll up door on the front. 3 steel man doors to the exterior. No windows.

There is an attached game room on the back that is roughly 42' x 25' which is offset roughly 20' to fit the space on the lot. (Not quite an L shape, but close.) The interior photo was taken from the loft in the game room looking forward through the wall between the spaces that is not finished yet. ;)

The garage is on its own 200A service. We have an extra long 12K 4 post lift, 80G compressor, and a welding/saw station. All storage is on 12' tall pallet racking with a 33,000lb rating for each section. We have natural light during the day from skylights. And some surplus 8' fixtures that I got for nearly nothing for lighting at work. I recently added TransAir Aluminum airlines into the garage. And this weekend was spent wiring up dedicated circuits for trickle chargers for storage of the "fleet".

Any other questions, feel free to ask.

great looking shop...
with all the great shops here, it's really nice to see a "working garage" every now and then.
I wouldn't know what to do with myself in half the places on here (sure is fun to look though). I mean I need a place where I'm not gonna spaz when welding slag, grease, or (gasp) dirt hits the floor.

Very cool collection too!

Cool ambulances. I used to work for Crestline Coach (A Canadian ambulance manufacturer) and we had 53, 54, 57 and 66 Pontiac ambulances. The 57 was by far my favorite. I'd have to guess that baby was over 6000 lbs. It almost rolled the tires off the rims if you took a corner over about 25 MPH.

It looks like a Hollywood set inside your garage! Can you list all the years, makes and models? Very nice and big shop!

Starting from the upper left and moving towards the camera:

1959 M-M Cadillac High Top Ambulance. (Next in line for paint)
1959 M-M Cadillac 3-Way hearse. (Sold, waiting for the new owner to pick it up.)
1974 Dodge Monaco "Bluesmobile". (And yes, it does have a 440 Cop motor and all the toys)
Polaris Ranger. (For dragging and hauling.)
1960 C-B Chevrolet Ambulance. (Believed to be 1 of 1 built on 1960)
1959 Fleetwood 75 Limo. Next to the Ranger.
1959 M-M Traditional Landau Hearse. The fun driver.
1959 M-M Cadillac "Ghostbusters Ecto1a" Replica.
1947 Chevy Stylemaster Coupe Street Rod.

Not Shown:

1959 M-M Cadillac Flower car. (Also Sold.)
1946/47 Ford Street Rod Golf Cart. (Built for an episode of Home Improvement with Tim Allen.)

I'll try to get some additional photos of the Game room as well as different angles of the Garage.

Thanks for the comments so far.

Nice lift, what I can see of it. Is it by chance a Worth? Looks like the one I have.

Actually its a Gemini. A friend of mine is a distributor for them, so I ended up with an American made lift for the price of a Chinese import. So far I've been very pleased with it. It can handle anything I've thrown at it so far. (and my stuff tends to be larger and heavier than "normal" cars. Its an extra length lift, and I went ahead and added an 8K rolling jack to it. Very handy sometimes. :)

Photos show the game room which is set up for pool on one side and pinball under the loft. I'm also attaching an aerial photo of the entire building.

OMG, what a great shop!!!
I absolutely love everything.
I used to long for an old ambulance to use for my "dog show" transport. I always contended that it would be the perfect vehicle, but alas I never had the resources to do it.
Love to see yours, more pics, please!!

Sweet gameroom! I can see a Creature, Circus Voltaire, Scared Stiff, etc. Glad to see that I'm not the only guy here with pins in my garage! Let's see more pics!

My father probably worked building some of those hearses and ambulances. He worked at Miller Meteor for years in Piqua, Ohio and before that it was A.J. Shorts in Bellefontaine. He was a metal finisher and painter. Great shop BTW:thumbup:

Post some more pictures of the ambulances. I'm with ElkV..I would kill for a '59. I have a 72 Cadillac Miller that we use for our haunted house.
