HF 18 drawer 72" tool cart

I've been eyeing this tool cart for a while waiting for it to hit that $999.99 price again. There's currently a coupon for $1099.99.

Have they changed something and the "good" deal is now $1099.99 or keep waiting?

That's a great suggestion, but won't really work for what I need.

The lowest I have seen was 999.99 when it first came out. 1099 seems to be the new "coupon" price. I would buy the 72" over the 2 44". I like that the drawers are deeper. The only thing I absolutely hate is the drawer latching system. I think it makes it seem "cheap" plus they are plastic.

I am considering this box as well. here in so cal you can't touch a used triple for under 3500 in any brand. if you can get this 1000 plus tax I would get it. that posted coupon appears to be expired. I haven't seen that box here for under 1099.99.

$999 is expired. $1099 expires 2/7/16.

Called local stores and they do not stock this box other than display. It's $96 shipping to my shop. I'm told there is an opportunity to go to a store and ask to buy one. The store will show one sold and another will auto drop ship to the store (display) and may be away around it. I thought one could buy the display but apparently not.

They won't sell their displays here locally Jay, Back when the 56" top box came out good lord knows I tried but they wouldn't let it go. Like I said at MMF, I could order it and have it shipped at a cost, but they wouldn't ship it into the store at no cost. So I waited until they got stock a few months later.

I got one back in November I think, and they ordered it into the store, they had no display. I got it and a 18inch side box. Great for the money.
Just remember that there is no top box for these any more. and they as of yet have no repair parts. Mine was missing a drawer latch, We took one off the display.

I may have found a way to avoid the shipping. Gonna find out today. Wife got me a $500 HF gift card to put towards it, so I do need to buy it direct from HF.

Ok for those interested there is a way. You have to tell the store you want to do a large order. They should then contact a lady in California who will have one added to the stores order just for you. The woman I work with in California was extremely helpful knowledgeable and got it done. My box will be delivered next Thursday and they let me use a coupon on it even though it actually expires on February 7th. Overall excellent customer service and I was quite surprised. I do not want to give out the lady's name in California but she is the main person who does these types of orders and each store manager should know who she is.

Can't you just ask a manager to ring it up as a sale.....another one will autoship to store and you get the new one that comes in. They keep their current display. If I worked there it would be a pretty simple process. Go in when they are slow or in off peak hours. Nobody wants to deal with special needs when they're busy

I asked specifically to do this and was told no by the cashier, then the manager was called over and she said "no" as well. They did offer me the corporate number to call for assistance which is was led me to actually getting the tool box ordered. Unreal if you ask me. I literally started off my conversations with EACH person I talked to with "I"m trying to give you
$1100 and can't get anyone to take my money" No I'm not kidding

Big business politics and protocol. People just need to use common sense. I've run into issues other than Harbor freight throwing money at people and nope nadda....I can't take your money,sir.
