Here is the coupon for $99:

$99 HF Cart

I went yesterday to pick one up at my local HF but they were out of stock. They gave me a raincheck and I'll go back on Friday.

I bought one for $99. I posted a pick, I think on pg. 9, in the HF 13 drawer thread. Seams like a really nice box. It took me about an hour to put it together. Lots of nuts and bolts! It does have a black glossy finish instead of the crinkle finish that some have complained about.

I bought the same one for $99. 3weeks later sold it to one of the guys I work with and bought the red 5 drawer with a 20% off coupon for around $145. The black one is nice but the red one is much nicer and much bigger. In my opinion you would be better off spending a little more to get a lot more. For the price either one of them is great they arent truck brand quality by any means but they are Way nicer then the Craftsman ones that are 1/2 the size and 2x the price

$99 is the deal. I seriously doubt you can buy a cart that good for twice the money anywhere. I bought it to store all my welding/metalwork hand tools. The side is perfect for 3 grinders. They just hang on the lip. Very handy. Easy to put together. I could not find anything about it that I did not like. Good casters and good drawer slides. I have mine loaded and it works well.

Sure is nice to have all my welding stuff in one place, I roll it over to where I am working and I have my helmet, fire extinguisher, hammers, clamps, grinders, rods, wire and whatever right there. Nice organizer. Works for me.

I have had one for about a year. I work on a lot of heavy equipment, and use it to keep my larger sockets, air wrenches, and tire tools. The bottom drawer holds the large sockets. Which is a lot of weight and it has held up well.

Slightly off topic but can one of you measure the height of your Hansen trays? You guys just turned me on to this product and I'm wondering if it'll fit in my current box.

I have the $99 coupon, but also a 20% off coupon. Does anyone know if Harbor Freight will accept them both?

It's a 45 mile drive to the store and I'd rather not make the trip to find out if I don't have to....

Thanks,

Ray

The store I go to won't. I've tried several times with several different cashiers with no luck.

i just called my local HF store and they said the 4 drawer is discontinued!! and they dont have any..... thats weird... they are on sale till mid march.

i checked the website and the 4 drawer is only on the HFUSA site, not the HF site.

But... my second toolbox is in, nice of them to call me like they said they would!

i keep forgetting about the 20% off though... so the 5 drawer would be only $150 like stated above. I like the 5 drawer better as well so looks like ill get one of those, however i want red and my 2 local stores dont have the red in stock... they said they have been on back order for weeks... looks like ill get a raincheck on one tomorrow night.

Im thinking about surfacing mounting a 15-17" LCD computer monitor to the inside lid and mounting my old computer underneath. This way i will have a workstation for tools and diagnostics and pdf manuals and internet accessible under the lift when working on my cars. Anyone done this before?

This cart would work great for that except the lid does not go to true vertical

I thought I could just move the pistons but that did not workout. Maybe if you moved the mounting point on the lid which is welded then you might get it to true vertical. It is not far from it but if you mounted a flat panel on it the panel would face down into the box. You could rig up some kind of cantilever that would hold the bottom of the monitor out so it was vertical.

Post some photos if you do it I think it would be very handy.

ya, noticed the lid not opening all the way and was thinking of modding it. I have never seen one of these in stock though so never got a chance to look at one in person. I think the store that has my toolbox may have a black one in stock ill try and look at tomorrow night.

Night train you might want to check COO on the truck ones you may be surprised to find out they are probably built in the same factory by the same underpaid overworked person :D. I have the red 5 drawer and love it . I had the black 4 drawer and also felt it was well built but I sold it to a neighbors son who just got his first garage as I was running out of room in my garage :D.

Ive got the red 5 drawer, and Ive got the Hansen socket holders, I took the top "lid" off mine, seems to be in the way. I do believe they sit under the height of the lid. What didnt fit under the lid was the handles of my pry bars.

I too overall like it for the $, but I hate the krinkle finish.

yeah, i wish they would offer the 5 drawers in the black like the 4 drawers have

Yeah, the red vs. black was tough call for me, my big box is black, but I really needed the space of the 5 drawer. What they charge for them, they are damn near free (got mine on sale), in comparison to what I paid for my last service cart ($600?).

Put the 4 drawer together today. Amazing for $99! I feel like I stole it. Went together smoothly enough, a bit over an hour...wheels, side posts and cross posts. Lubed the drawers and hinge hardware and everything glides beautifully. I'm a home guy, so it's more than enough for my needs.

There is 4" under the lid of the 4 draw cart, the 3/8" rack is only 3.25", and the 1/4" rack is 2.5" tall.

Picked mine up yesterday. For $99 I don't think you can beat this little cart. It's bigger in person than what it appears to be in the pictures. Thanks for posting the coupon!:bounce:

You guys are killing me, I really don't 'need' one of these...

I'm just a home shop guy and my shop is 1000sq ft with maybe half of that open for working using the lift and working on projects. The idea that I need a 'service cart' in this situation is a bit absurd on the surface. Yet I currently use one of those little two tray (no drawers) carts to hold the tools and parts for the project that is currently being worked on, and that little cart gets used almost every day in the shop. I leave the socket sets and wrench sets in the cart and add whatever tools required for the job out of the big tool box. (how am I doing at justifying this purchase so far?):)

It would be nice to have the drawers... but the little red cart would have to go as there is precious little room left in the shop as it is. Bear with me here as I talk myself into this purchase by typing a message on the internet to a bunch of people I've never met.:bounce:

When, I mean If I purchase this cart I think I'd leave the top off of it because it would be more user friendly in my situation. For those of you with this cart would leaving the top off cause any problems structure wise?

Thanks
