I haven't personally, but I know several people that use them to pull cherry rivets on planes.
They haven't complained about it. I'm sure if they had issues, they wouldn't use them, as they're only 200' from $1000 cherry guns.

Just curious, what do you guys use rivets for anymore? And what do you use SO MANY rivets on that you need a pneumatic riveter for?
I have a manual pop rivet gun but frankly, I've never used it.
Let me see you set a 1/4" rivet in a door window regulator by hand.
Hey, it wasn't a challenge, chillax.
A window regulator? I can't think of one I've even seen since I used to have crappy steel casement windows and they didn't have rivets in them.
basic rules for pop rivets: the tighter you pull, the stronger they are. pneumatic guns are always pull harder than by hand. we use a lot of them on aluminum and carbon panels on race cars, .
I built a utility trailer and riveted the aluminum panels to the steel frame (with rubber strips in between). I used the attached riveter for the roughly 200 rivets. It was a lot easier than using screws and resulted in a very professional look. Based on what I've read in this thread I wish I had used an air powerered riveter.Just curious, what do you guys use rivets for anymore? We don't have Harbor Freight (or its discount coupons!) in Canada.Agreed you can get the hydraulic air rivet gun at HF with a 20% coupon for about 51.00 less than the hand rivet gun at princess auto live and learn i guess that is why i luv this forum a wealth of knowledge from each and every person.![]()

I have the cheaper version that is supposed to set up to 3/16" rivets.

I picked up a 1/4" nosepiece and have used it to set 1/4" rivets as well. I have had this a least 10 years and have set countless rivets. It has performed flawlessly.
where did the 1/4" nose piece come from? i've been debating getting one mainly for 1/4's, but would like to do others if need be.
