I had a long conversation with Mike Tacoma a few weeks ago. He was telling me about the days (decades ago now) when they used to make cabinets. Apparently they were pretty awesome, but expensive.
He said he was at a trade show somewhere with his stuff and he saw several new import cabinets sitting on a trailer. He crawled around and inspected them, then saw what they were selling them for, and he knew right then it didn't make any sense for him to be in the cabinet making business any longer.
Now, they just make upgrade kits for other cabinets, but they really are geared toward the Harbor Freight style cabinets. He feels that the hopper is deep enough, and the partially bent/welded construction is sufficient to achieve close to the efficiencies his gun and valve system are able to deliver, if not on par with the cabinets they used to build.
Ray's Garage has a video series on assembling and prepping the HF cabinet for best performance. They (Tacoma) essentially direct you to the video series for guidance. With a look even if you're not installing a Tacoma blast system.
