About 2 weeks ago I bought the 29g oiled compressor from HF (Central Pneumatic), spent the past week, getting it set up, buying and returning stop valves, 1/4" piping from specialty stores for my right dual line set up, setting up the lines, (didn't even mount them on the walls yet). And after making sure there were 0 leaks, today I go to turn it on to rotate the tires.
Doesn't start up, didn't blow a fuse, no humming no click no nothing. Me and my dad take off the cover to the pressure switch, plug it in, and push down on the wires so they touch, and it starts right up.
Apparently when the switch is pushed up it doesn't push whatever correctly, hence the wires don't touch and it doesn't get power.
called HF customer service, I could have a replacement 'pressure switch' mailed to me by December 1st (on backorder, I wonder why)
Or I could borrow a friends truck, lug it up two flights of stairs, bring it back and argue for an exchange, then bring it back and lug it down two more flights of stairs.
Anyone have a fix for this problem?
Thanks for any help or tips! and thanks HF, for making me fix your garbage straight out of the box
