How stable are they?

I Created an account just to log in, and say awesome job. This is exactly what i was looking for. I'm going to copy your setup 1 to 1. Only thing i will do is cut of the lip along the side of the table, and weld another lip on the underside instead. I find the lip gets in the way a lot.Have done a few modifications to mine in the three months I have owned it, all in preparation of recessing the lift in the floor.
First was removable side extensions so atv’s could fit on it . Center section removes once the atv is in the air so I do have to work over it. Still have to get paint on them.
Next was a new safety locking system. Once the lift is recessed the safety lock bar that came with the lift will no longer work for Me.

I had originally planned to do that also but in all the Years I have used it the lips have not bothered Me and they help to keep things like dropped bolts and things from rolling off the lift. I have used it damn near daily for years. There is another bike on it tonight !I Created an account just to log in, and say awesome job. This is exactly what i was looking for. I get you, especially if it is mainly used for bikes. But mine is never used for bikes, but for lawn tractors and other small engine equipment, where the lip almost always hits right were the wheels are. The lift also seconds as a worktable, where i do welding and plasma cutting, where the lip gets in the way when fixing down longer/wider things. But that is just for my specific case. For others I can see it will not be a problem.I had originally planned to do that also but in all the Years I have used it the lips have not bothered Me and they help to keep things like dropped bolts and things from rolling off the lift.
