I have had both the red and black units for about 7-8 years. The black one I dedicated to metalworking tools and I hung a flux core welder on the side with a home made shelf. I have a good amount of weight in that cabinet and it has worked perfectly. No issues at all. Just make sure you assemble it well, connect all the bolts loose then tighten and square as you go. The red cart is a little better look and feel and is jut a bit more robust. I keep my sockets and automotive stuff in there. Both are very solid carts and good deals for the money.

I have one and while it doesn't hold all of my tools, it is a great little cart. Easy to move and will hold some decent weight. I'm curious to know what everyone uses theirs for?

I use it as my secondary cart to my main HF red 5 drawer tool cart (with attached 7 drawer side box), which has all the "normal" tools (wrenches, sockets, etc). The 4 drawer has crimpers, multimeters, fuses, shrink tubing, **** splices, etc in the top under the lids, soldering stuff in the top left drawer, Dremel things in the top right, many different gauges of wire rolls in the bigger drawer and welding wire and tools in the bottom drawer. In the large open space at the bottom is my Forney flux core welder. This cart also has wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets and other tools that were duplicates in the red cart.

I'm happy with how I've set it up.

Great carts. Just be aware that there are two types.
one has joles in the cross brace for long screwdrivers and one does not. I got messed up with that.

How do you keep sockets and ratchets from sliding in there?

Never had one of these nor have I known someone who owned or owns one.

I have mine on socket holders and I just set my rachets in the box and they don't move.

I bought the red 5 for $159 and the black 4 for $89. Pounce when they are on sale and it's hard to go wrong. I agree the red is a little better than the black but having both gives me the room and flexibility that one bigger one doesn't and they do so at a good price.

I'm happy with mine, definitely worth $100. While assembling it, don't fully tighten any nuts/bolts until the entire thing is assembled and square.

I have both the black 4 drawer and the red 5 drawer and they are both solid tool carts. I will say that don't really use the black one as much for much any more as I outgrew it and moved everything I had into the red. My son did use the black one for a bit after that but took his tools out & with him when he got stationed in S. Korea so for now it's sitting empty in my back shed. The red is a lot more heavy-duty - thicker steel, better drawer slides and casters - and is taller, wider, and deeper so it holds a lot more.

Yep, spent some time on the DMZ myself back in the day. Thank him for his service.

Here's my 4 drawer cart. I use it for welding accessories mostly. I really don't have it too well organized but I know where everything is in there and it keeps most of it in one go-to spot. I use the bottom shelf for my 100 amp "grab it and go" welders. Also, there's a 240v extension cord under there incase I have to bring the Thunderbolt somewhere.
