Seems to me they'd be smarter to open a set to replace a socket.....then keep that set aside for the next replacement. Or...the sets cost them so little that it doesn't matter.
Corporate America, does not run on common sense. Ive done 2 short stints with large corps. I did a short stint, oh, maybe 12 years ago. I made it 9 months, and had a sit down with my boss, and proposed the question:
"Do you want the solution, or are you guys in love with the problem ?".
They had employed me, looking for the solution, but when I got there, I shortly there after, found out they where in love with the problem...
This socket business is not different.
As I put it, daily, the "house" was "throwing out the baby with the bath water", and at the same time, in .INC fashion, looking for a better bottom line.
I left, because there is no helping the non-willing. Stupid is, as stupid does.
