Checked this cart out today. It is a good design and well built... better than most HF items. The cabinet is one piece like a tool box. The top drawer is divided in nine slots for tips and nozzles. The second drawer is open and will probably hold 10/11 lb spool of wire. The bottom is a door that opens and slides back into the cabinet. It has a thicker chain for securing the cylinder. It will handle a 40/80/125 cf cylinder. I was very impressed and would have purchased if they had one in stock. They only had the display model. The cart could possibly make next months sale paper too...? Sorry for the flipped pics.

I just saw this in the HF flyer. Looks like a great idea. Has anyone used an old small filing cabinet for something like this? I think it can be built for a lot less, seeing that I see these small filing cabinets at just about every garage sale I go to.

I just bought one it was on sale and i used a 25% off coupon for a total of $97 and got a free pair of gloves. quality is good feels sturdy and it wheels around good. I like the drawers, fits all my tools clamps and the grid is nice to separate my consumables. It has a nice rummber coated handle, I like that the bottom door opens wide enough to fit 2 welding masks. The hooks are nice to have too. It was a great up grade from my old TSC cart. I think i may even get a second for my plasma

Looks like a nice cart, might have to go have a look to see if it can be modified to fit a watercooler. Would be good for an air cooled setup though.

I recently went through the same thought process and decided to build my own. Click the link below and look at posts #1 for some background info and #4 for the 90% complete welder cart. I attached photos today in post #4. I am almost finished with it. I have less than $50 in it and not much time invested. I would be happy to answer any questions that you might have. The last item I have left is to make a folding side shelf.

Just bought one last month. I have a large bottle, 330 cf I think. I got it for the main box. I am currently building a frame with stronger wheels to hold the extra weight.

Mine showed up in the mail 2 days ago. I have my little 135 amp MIG on it, loaded up the drawers with visegrip clamps, magnets, hammers and the like. I got it for 104 bucks shipped. It was on sale and I had a %25 off coupon. It is worth the money. I could have build on yeah, but time is money and I have more than enough projects.

Ball bearing slides, powder coated black, the handle has a rubberized coating on it. I had to add some bots to the chains to take up some slack to hold the bottle tight. The front casters could be a bit better, but I don't move mine around much.

I've been looking at the HF cart for a while since it came out and it does impress me with the build quality- it's US General tool box level with the heavier gauge steel and bearing drawer slides.

I built my own cart out of a flimsy original one and find that I couldn't use this new cart. With the handle where it's placed, it would block the front gun connections on my Hobart. I'd have to put the welder on about a 4-6" riser to clear the handle and then it would be awkward, so for me, it's not as usable. Plus on my modified cart, I added side bars to hang grinders off of and this doesn't have that option.

I like the robust bottle mounting with chains high and low.

Top drawer is half depth though I don't know why. Nothing is preventing it from being a full length inside.

I think if I didn't have a cart already, this would be an excellent choice. I'm still tempted and make modifications to meet my needs since enclosed storage would be great for all the grinding disks I collect.

I'm going to buy the HF one. 25% off coupon puts the price down to a pretty reasonable level and I don't really have enough scrap iron or any wheels at the moment to build one. I saw it at the store and its everything I wanted in a cart.

It was a little so I removed the CST280 and that made it a little easier to move around.
The only issue I have with it now is the crappy casters.

Solid as a rock. I used some ventilation as the zinc came off as smoke.

I'm pretty happy with it. I also have some casters and a handle for it.

Well make sure and give us your user review. I am sure there will be those interested in your first impressions, build quality etc.
