The 48” on the rear bumper of my Bronco doesn’t get past the articulation of the suspension to lift the tire until it’s topped out, so I carry both a 60 and a 48. I keep a 60 in my diesel truck and have made use of it a couple times getting someone else unstuck. I only buy the hi-lift all cast models anymore. My first couple were the cast/steel models which served me ok, but there is still a small ding in my tailgate from the truck falling off the jack in Moab in probably 1998.
