I was in my local pawn shop the other day, and in the case where they keep the snappy tools, was this strange digital adjustable torque wrench. They had it priced way too high, but after some haggling I walked out of the store with it, and a mac/harris cutting heating torch set (cutting tips, rosebuds, regulators, everything but the tank) for $60.
Curious if anyone has ever seen/used/heard of Hilmor tools. The adjustable wrench portion appears to have been made by Bahco, who also makes my snap on adjustable wrenches, but it has this cool little tooth in the jaw which is actually pretty helpful.
I've used it a few times, and the torque range is quite adjustable, and when checked with some of my known calibrated click type wrenches, is dang accurate. It seems to work pretty well. I'm new to digital torque wrenches and just wonder if anyone else has a backstory or is more familiar than I?
