Hi All,
I've just posted high-res scans of two old catalogs:

-- Plomb catalog 18A with a Aug 15, 1940 price list
Plomb18A_frontcover.jpg

and
-- Proto catalog C5428 from 1954
ProtoC5428frontcover.jpg

They are both 300dpi, merged into PDFs. The Plomb is 64MB and the Proto is 42MB in size.

I'll host them until they exceed my monthly download allowance.

Here's the link: http://bartlettstreet.com/toolcatalogs/

If anyone's got a Montgomery Ward catalog showing "Speed Master" sockets, I'd love a scan of the catalog cover and the pages showing anything branded "Speed Master".

Enjoy!!

Absolutely Awesome!!!
I will have to make a pointed effort to get my 1950 catalog scanned in.

Thanks again!

Hello Jpilgram,

That is a lot of work. Thank you for the scans! Wish I had the Monkey Wards you're after.

Thanks for the post. I just purchased the 4 Craftsman catalog CD's with all of the 20ies thru the 70ies from Dave.

One apology: Sorry to the machinists on the forum, I did omit some 80 pages of lathe cutters, tool holders and dogs.

Thanks for all the kudos on the Plomb and Proto catalogs.

I'm glad to share.

John

Much appreciated. Thank you!

I didn't know the Challenger line went back to PLOMB. I assumed that line came into being under the PROTO brand.

Catalog answered my question...

Back a while ago I asked about an unusual 5/8" drive socket (thread)

Well, I found a reference in the '54 catalog:

But why only one size of 4-point?
