Glad you are able to juggle and make some progress. I remember those days coming home from work, visiting with the wife and then try to get a couple of hours in before bedtime. Keep on keeping on, you will get there. I had part of ours useable but it still took time to get it where it is today.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement.

The project is still coming along. I have all the insulation up and sheeted the inside with ¾” and ½” plywood. I didn’t want drywall in the garage because it’s too delicate. Plus with plywood, I can hang a shelf and I don’t have to hit a stud.

Conduit is in place, and getting ready to pull wire.

Over the last couple weekends, I’ve been building this workbench. Inspiration came from a library style shelf. The work top is 2 layers of ¾, glued and screwed. The rest of the shelving is 1.5 and 2” angle. All welded together. It’s hard to tell from these pictures, but it is 13.5’ long and 8.5’ tall. That should be enough room for my projects.

I might add some diagonals to stiffen it up, but it’s plenty strong. It's almost too nice to use. My workbenches usually get abused.

Looking Good Nailhead! Time always slips by us but I find most of the time as long as I tackle the more important things as I go it all works out in the long run. I will look and see what I have for left over wire and PM you, I think I may have some rolls left with some good footage on them.

Love the progress. My mom grew up in the Willow Neighborhood at 3rd Ave and Coronado so I know the neighborhood. Spent my youth having fun there!

Well it's been WAY too long since I posted. The project is nearly complete!

The garage is basicaly all put together. doing drywall in the house and waiting for SWG to get off their *** and get the meter installed.

I still need to paint someday, and there is still a lot of toys to put away, but here's the latest pictures!

The couch and playpen are not permanent ha ha ha!

Sorry Y'sguy.. the 312 is eventually going in my coupe, if I ever get time.

A chopped 5 window and a hemi in the garage doesn't get any better than that, great stuff hotrodnailhead. That fridge looks very cool, did you lay the stripes mates? Also looks like you have been out to Bonneville salts, i went to the world finals in 2012 and i loved the place.

Yep. several projects waiting for my attention. I didn't paint the fridge; I bought it with the stripes.

I've been to Bonneville speed week a few years in a row. 2014 was rained out, and I had a sub-1 year old baby, but I'm planning to go again this year! The salt is like a church for hot rodders.

Looking good Nailhead, work area looks well laid out. Fridge is perfect! Scottwi is helping me with a fridge project I am excited about. We have a couple of Hit & Miss/Tractor shows coming up and as soon as those are done I hope to get back to my borderline insanity project. I need to get the new shelf up and the signs back on the wall. The fridge project will be next. Anyways, yours shop project is coming along nicely.
