Thank you Sids04, you are right, far cry from the old eye sore that was there. BUT, it was still a garage. I had to sell off my woodworking tools cause the walls were running with water. No kidding, the west wall was covered in water last spring. The vapor barrier on the ceiling had pools of water in it.

this year,.... nice and dry

And thank you for the compliment :thumbup

Thanks Wayne, yes, the cabinets are great, best part is I didn't have to spend time building them.

OK been busy in the garage. I thank my wife and kids a bunch for letting me spend as much time out as I can

-I've put up the track lights by the sensor garage light
-Installed 3 more cabinets below the TV cabinet. This will be a narrow shelf/bench just to hold tools when working under the hood.
-installed all the flourescent lights 3, rows of 16' ( 2, T8 96's per row). Got the bulbs from Kijiji. New case of 30 T-8 Sylvania eco extended life super saver 800's 4100K. Man is it bright in there :bounce:

Also did some clean up of the wires by the TV, Installed the sensor garage light.

Put up my Goodyear metal sign. Hung a couple pictures. Started to bring stuff back from storage. Basically been very busy.

enjoy the updated pictures

tired and time for bed 12:47AM

Your now ahead of me. We should begin priming the drywall on Friday. No power yet but the siding is done and the heat is on. I see you have the same stools as I got. Where did you get the fluorescent fixtures?

Your shop is looking great.

I'll post pictures next week.

hey thanks guys, been putting some long hours out there in the garage. Got called into work with only 3 hours of sleep. worked 6hrs and stayed up for 21 hours, man I love holidays

As for what kind of car I am storing in there Lee,.... wishing it was an old 65 mustang fastback like the one and only 65 GT350R but it is mostly for the wife's 2009 dodge Journey. It is our baby that I really look after. Also, the truck will be in there too. I have 2- Ford F150's, both are the 7700 series. One is a 2003 (the blue one) and the other my toy, it is a 2001 with alot of money into it. 99 lightning hey, nice, you'll have to shoot me some pictures. My 2001, I Harley'd out, kinda cool when guys would tell/ask me "Did Ford do a 4X4 Harley Edition?" and "I thought they were only black"

Hey Albert, got the walls primed and painted yet? lol lots of work and fun hey. Tip of the day,...... Squint when priming/painting the ceiling, if no safety glasses are around

The lights are the T-8's from home depot Lithonia 96", uses 4- 4 foot bulbs. Sure glad I went with 3 rows, nice and bright with no shadows,..... ANYWHERE!!!! As for the stools, I picked up a "Ford Tough" one from Princecess Auto for 60 bucks, get this. It swivels and has a lighted blue ring under the seat base,...... I LOVE IT.

As for an update, been moving my stuff from storage to the garage. Countertop is installed, My "Jack Olsen" edition railway clock is up, Thank you Jack for inspiring me to do one.

Upper storage is S W E E T !!!!!!!!!! Have the wife's car in there tonight. Polished the wheels and cleaned it up for her. Had some beers tonight to celebrate the car finally in it's new home. More stuff from storage tomorrow. I want to get the toolboxes into there places but need my ATV trailer to load them up and the trailer is out at the lakelot 2 hours away.

well 2:01 am time to check out other posts.

Shoot, forgot to mention, I have all the airlines too, all soldered up and had only 2 leaks.

Nice to have the air up, just need a big compressor now rather than my Portal Cable pancaker.

I do have a question though but will start a new topic. I need to figure out an idea for mounting the copper lines, which are 1" away from the wall to the wall. I do not want to use wood blocks

Thanks everyone

Hey Lee, Love the lightning, thanks for the pictures. This is where I got my user name from. Ford was slated to do the SVT Expedition in 2000. Ford was calling it Thunder edition expy. I feel in love and was going to buy one. I was, can't say "struck by thunder" the saying is "struck by lightning". I switched it up and my user name was born,... Hit-By-Thunder. just a little side twist, On Ford Truck World my home page played AC/DC Thunder Struck. But it sure sounded like Thunder'S Truck

ok here are some pictures of the process of moving in. No toolboxes yet need my ATV trailer. Boy what a mess, but I still got the Journey in and polished the wheels.

Hey Lee, That Ford clock was made by me. I went to Wal-Mart, bought 2 small diameter clocks that were identical. I took them apart and printed 2 Ford logos. Glued them to the face. The mount is 3/8 MDF simple but looks cool ( to me anyways ) I got the idea from one of Jack Olsen's clocks he made (12 gauge garage).

Thank you Dave, it is coming along. I started on the siding, well the starter strips anyhow, but ran out of holidays. Of coarse pictures will be posted. I also have the secuity light installed now as well as the 4 recessed lights in the eave above the doors.

This weekend will be up to the lakelot to get my ATV trailer so I can finish cleaning out the storage unit. I miss my toolboxes, BAD!!!!

Thank you Jack, coming from you it is a great compliment, thank you

Started the siding today, Got up at 1 am for work, worked til 10 am, came home and started in. Finished the fascia, (there was ice on the north side of the garage so putting up a ladder was too dangerous). All starter strips are done, J trim, drip caps. Have the fun part of j-trim around the LB and meter box. Starting to rain so done for today, now to make supper. (wife is feeling under the weather).

Hey guys, all done, well mostly lol. Have been busy with other things but here is an update .

Power is all in and done, no more extension cords for this boy. Been working on my heater for winter and just fired it up forth first time yesterday. I will try and post some pictures from my tablet.

Things I wish I would have done,... ran the themostat wire lol.

Things I really love, the track lighting for working under the hood of cars, very bright now under the hood and no more trouble lights.

No BP they swing back 170 degrees. This was my son's idea, to have the TV in a cabinet. I just made it blend with the other cabinets

:thumbup:Well had the heat on last night and was too tired waiting for a blue paint that was a mistint. Picked a fresh gallon and started in. Pretty close match to the speaker grill covers.

Makes a big difference
