Sigh I wish sometimes the information would be easier and it would flow like hot pancake syrup, if you know what I mean. But alas it was like pulling out your wisdom teeth, without any laughing gas or Novocain. So, I think (key word here) that I got the following information correct or at least I feel it to be correct at this time and date, until I hear otherwise, and I can fix any mistakes later on.

The Company was Incorporated on the 4th of Dec. 1958 in Philadelphia, Pa. it seems to be still active; I do not have any information about the Company president some 65 years ago. (From the following post replies it looks more like a NJ company and not a Pa. company).

A few pictures of the nut driver in question; I found they also made screwdrivers along with tin snips, possible other tools, but again the information is lacking. I wonder if they had any Government contracts?

Haha, my old post lol...Yes, my search took me there late last night and yes, I was aware of the NJ connection. But always a but what sold me a little on the Pa.site was they used the Hitco name so who knows. Fifty of one or fifty of the other but thanks for showing me my old post.😳

Like I said so little information that I am still in the dark, did they make their own products or fan them out to other companies? Did they have Government contracts or not? Just not enough information to work with at this time.

Thanks RTM I know I could count on your help.👍

So, it looks like we can kill off the Pa., theory and put in place the NJ. company.
Delran NJ is right across the Delaware River from NorthEast Philadelphia.
A number of business owners from Philadelphia actually live in NJ and vice versa.
The address you pulled up in Philadelphia, is teo blocks from the Philadelphia City Hall, in what is known as “Center City”, in a large office building that is now branded “Wells Fargo” but which used to have a different name on it.
The building rents office space.
Philadelphia used to have a large manufacturing industry, and still has a bunch of niche manufacturers, as does New Jersey.
A bunch of the towns across the river are basically the suburbs of Philadelphia.
Slightly further North up the Delaware River is Cementex, in Burlington NJ.
Cementex is one of the main producers of insulated tools in the USA.

I picked up a pair of the "Shear Magic" straight tin snips today at a flea market for 2 bucks. They need a good cleaning but I'm pretty impressed with the build quality. The "Shear Magic" is stamped in cursive above the Hitco Phila USA stamp I had never heard of them before. I worked in Philly in the mid to late 90's for a freight company that serviced 19021 zip- the name is not familiar but that zip code is the industrial
part of Bucks county- lots of shops.
