Hole punch set

I am looking for a manual hole punch set(hit with a hammer kind) to make holes of different sizes in thin rubber, cork, plastic, leather etc. In the past I used spent bullet shells but they don't last long and not the correct size. The hand ones that you squeeze with the wheel are junk. I am making gaskets and spacers and need clean holes for the hardware to pass through. Drilling is not a option.
This is just for my personal use. I don't need a Snap On or pro set. Any suggestions?

I have a Snap On set that is very similar to this set wether the quality is the same idk . The above Kastar set is rebranded by Matco (probably others too), pretty good set. I've used mine with various materials/thicknesses. Lifetime warranty through Matco which may or may not be worth it, depending on your point of view.

This is the style I use, using hardwood end grain as an anvil. Bigger sizes are out there if you look around. You can also make them with sharpened tubing.

I realize this is not a hammer type and if it isn't what you are looking for, just disregard.

I use this Roper Whitney, which is very well made, though it not cheap. It has sizes: 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32, 1/4, & 9/32.

I have used the same punch and die to punch hundreds of holes in 2 1/8 deep electric boxes with little or no signs of dulling.

I have the Mayhew 66002 hollow punch set. Have not used it much yet, but it seems very well made, and comes in a few different size configurations.

I have an old HF set and it's fine. I also have the Roper Whitney for metal, but that's not needed for what the OP wants

I too have the Mayhew SAE and MM sizes....best ever since you can run an inner and outer at the same time.

I did buy the import set recently so I could use in less than ideal scenarios and if they get dinged up, no big deal. (Example, I had to put one in a drill and spin through carpet and pad to concrete slab so I could use a rotohammer)

Try clamping your rubber between two pieces of plywood, then drill, makes much cleaner holes.

Like I said, if it isn't what you are looking for, just disregard.

It is not just for metal, I have also used it for thin rubber, cork, poster board, and leather, which was mentioned by the OP, along with spent bullet shells, which is similar to the punches provided with this tool.

oohhh, so that's the key I don't have with mine. Knew there would be something easier than my stubby screwdriver. Used mine over the weekend, with 4 different punches, only downer is the distance from the edge. I had to rotate the tool to get to a few holes. Tho none of the hammer punches seen so far in this thread will go through a saw blade.

hammer hit........... you'll want osbourne. squeeze type, you'll want a whitney for smaller holes.
