That looks like a serious accident waiting to happen.

Granted all power tools can be dangerous but that completely exposed blade, I'll pass.

Yikes!
I'd destroy that tool, to lessen the liability of some fool using it and getting hurt, with that fool finding some ambulance chaser and suing me.

Cut the cord and sell it as a sculpture. Industrial stuff is big in the art world. Just come up with some name like "capitalism and the working man" and some other description like ". This piece visibly shows the risks the blue collar man must take to earn a living in today's world. The lack of safety guards symbolizes the stripping of our cultural safety mechanisms like a pension and health benefits. Its shows how companies disregard the heath and wellbeing of their workers just for the sake of profits."

Then jack the price up 10k and sell it to some rich hippie.

No they would go where the BIG money is stored..........suing Black and Decker for making the guards removable, failure to warn, failure to have a blade sensor auto lock.......

Cool...
I can cut stuff on the top side if it's too thick to fit underneath.
I can rip a long board by using the top of the blade.

"near new blade"

No kidding, probably because no one has the stones to use it as is.

I just realized something about that ad. It's listed as Yucca Valley. I'm pretty sure that thread about wasting money on tools that surfaced a day ago or so, that guy was from Yucca Valley.

What would the odds be ?

I have a feeling the add should read "Used only once" and "please excuse misspelled texts - have difficulty using phone".

Since all of the obvious "OMG"s have been stated, here's a different one: Imagine the rooster tail of sawdust that would come off of that blade.

My father did almost this exact thing about 30 years ago. He finished using his radial saw and as soon as he turned off the blade he started wiping the sawdust off the tabletop with a small brush. He wasn't thinking and he swung his forearm into the still spinning blade and gashed it up good. 30 stitches or so later he was put back together. He still has a large 2 inch wide 5 inch long scar on his arm, but luckily he is fully functional. All that was caused by a 10" blade only in free spin.

I did something similar with my thumb and a circular saw. It involved a trip to the ER but stitches were thankfully not required.

That saw comes from long line of persistent "carpenters" . . . .
. . . . . . Stubby, Nubbs, and Stumpy !!! :D

One of the wives tried to use it . . . and now they call her Half-Nose Cyclops !!

I bet that saw has a plug on the cord with the ground pin removed.

Nope, 2 prong plug but frayed at that.

There was a thread maybe a year ago about a laser beam coming loose in a chop saw and destroying the guard. The OP was clearly pissed at the manufacturer. I think that thread was finally closed.

Maybe that's the saw.

(Just kidding as that POS never had a laser.)

I'm still trying to think of a use for the motor, table and arm. Might work as a tile saw with a minimum splash guard. Only for small tiles. Or something that would total a nice saw like Hardiboard. Again, some kind of guard.

Hell, I could make a guard out of a plastic lid.
