The green and orange Homak's are available through Napa for $1575, i assume the red/black/blue boxes will be the same. But apparently the stainless top is exclusive to the Napa special and nobody can tell me whether or not its available separately. Makes me wonder if the 72x24" Masterforce tops would fit.
That's still an excellent price, imho. If I had a Menards anywhere close to me I would consider Masterforce, but I'm not seeing anything else competitive in this price range. I really wanted USA made, and both of those boxes fit the bill.

I wouldnt bother with a 21". a lot of socket rails you'd only be able to fit in one way.
The tool vaults have the same problem. get a 24" deep.

Thanks for the info. At 1299.00 with a stainless top this box is a steal. Homak has it listed on their website for 2246.22. I would guess that is MSRP without the top. Dealers may be willing to sell them for less. I too like the Masterforce especially the 3 long drawers on the 72". They are more money I think I would settle on the Homak myself at this price. To get a 24" drawer you would need to buy a box that would be 28" to 30" deep. Even Snap on depth measurements include the trim. A 24" box is going to have a 21" or so drawer.

MeNards has sales on those 72" boxes often enough for either $1199 or $1299. Last time I was in there they also qualified for the 11% rebate. The rebate is kinda bullshavick seeing as how it's a check that can only be spent in MeNards and takes a couple months to get back to you. Of course they do sell tools and toolbox organization stuff there also.

I have a video on their new 24" toolboxes on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=KgRhLlYw8t0

Did you say it was made in Pennsylvania? I was expecting it to be China.

Pennsylvania, USA!

They are not made here. Homak Corp is in Pennsylvania I think. But the box is made in China. the pic is kind of cut off, but they are not US made.

My box was not in the carton when I got it. I appreciate the correction and I just went through the comments section of my video and corrected myself to several people. It's a great box, but I really wanted for it to be made in the USA...

Ive got some of my drawers loaded pretty heavy and the slides feel smooth. However, this is my workbench/overflow storage box so it is not being used heavily. Keep in mind that the lifetime warranty on this box adds value over the HF version.

After several weeks dealing with the awesome guys at my local Napa working with their territory sales reps and Homak i've got an orange 72" WITH a stainless top ordered, they think it'll be here in 4-5 weeks. From what i was told the Napa hub in Columbus, Ohio ordered 15 black, 4 red, 4 orange, and 4 green 72"s with stainless tops. Price isn't set yet but they told me $13-1500 range, my guy's trying to get it sold to me at the current Real Deal price.

Hey guys, lurker here. For those wanting the 54" like myself, it's on NAPA's web site under part # TSS BK04056010 (black). But the site says "Pricing and availability is temporarily unavailable online". My guess is that it's going to be avalibe next quarter, but I haven't called to confirm. As for other colors, just change the BK to RD for red, LG for green, OG for orange, BL for blue. Also the 72" also comes in a top and bottom combo set for $1899.00. Just search for 72RSCOMB in NAPA's search.

There are 5 listings so 5 colors. I can identify 3 of them based on the 72" toolbox colors, but green and orange are up in the air. I'd order the combo if I can figure which is the green.

280 - ??
281 - Black
282 - Blue
283 - Red
289 - ??

Out of curiosity, how were you able to extract that info? I was going back and forth with the two sites. Even the part numbers for the discounted 72" cabinet was different.

I saw that these boxes are still on sale for the new Q2 napa ad. Anyone know if the full width top drawer on the 41" has two sets of slides or just one? Can't really tell from the pictures.

I'm debating on buying the combo 72" or two combo 41" models. Price wise they are close. I'd get more space with the two 41" models.

its strange that on homaks website, the pics only show the red, blue, and black with stainless tops. but not the green or orange. i have my local napa checking into it, and assuming they come with it, i will have a lime green one here in a week or so

I'd really love the 54" RS Combo, but have not been able to find it on the Napa site. If anybody can find it, definitely post it.

just received my orange one yesterday, was shooting for green, but my napa guy couldn't pull it off without freight. so i settled. came packaged really nice with no damage. the drawers with the double slides are a little stiff, but they may break in with a little time. honestly the rest of the drawers dont feel much different than my snap on box. for a couple hundred more than the HF box on sale, im not disappointed.

Orange looks real nice on that 72" box.
Done well pull that off with napa, Nice drawer layout, nice slides, nice latches, nice top at the price and expect slides feel even better loaded and used a bit .
Makes HF look over priced if compare quality, finish, warranty and features to the buck .

i agree, im not sure if all napas are the same, but when i told the manager of mine that i wanted the box that was in the ad but in one of the other colors, he said no problem, and that they all come up for the sale price. i work at a chevy dealer in parts and we do alot of business with this napa, but he didnt make it sound like he really had to pull any strings. i was pretty well set on the masterforce 72" especially with having the 3 extra wide drawers, but i have no idea when it will go on sale again. and i really didnt like their colors lol

I would say your Napa been extra helpful .
Can't see any major reason why any other color has to be more expensive, can accept some colors being stock/shipping issue.

I think Napa agreed to buy a certain amount to get a good price from Homak. Napa may have gone the safe route with red, black and blue as green and orange may not appeal to everybody. If they have to order in one their cost on a single unit will be higher and usually get passed on to the consumer.

More a case of your luck with local Napa hub stock and their contacts with Homak, If a Napa supply hub got one or got a order going in with homak they can add it on if all straight forward or staff extra efficient at pushing a request through.
I see no reason why can't be done but I do see may need wait on orders or pay shipping for not usual source/delivery .

Has anyone in the New England area had any luck in purchasing one of these? I went to my local NAPA on Friday, and was told that there were none in stock at the regional distribution center. There were some in stock in other parts of the country, but they are supposed to let me know on Monday what the freight charge would be to ship one to my local store.

These looks like a nice deal at the advertised price, but any substantial increase due to shipping will likely kill it for me and steer me back to Harbor Freight.

I know here in Northern Ohio, some of the 72" boxes are popular enough to where some of the colors and the tops are on back order, and that if they have to get it from another part of the country, that there'd be no freight charge.

After checking, my local store came back with the same answer. I placed an order today for a blue one. There was no freight charge even though the box is from another region.

I was on the fence about waiting to see what the gen 2 HF box looks like, in particular I was interested in if they will offer a matching top box. But, I've been researching for a few months, and decided I was done. I'm sure I'll be happy with this box regardless of what HF comes out with. I also spent a lot of time looking at used tool truck boxes on Craigslist. I came close to purchasing two, but in the end I didn't see anything that was objectively a better deal than this box for my needs.

I don't have the Tool Box, but I did get the 35" Pro Slide Top Service Cart on toolbox. I paid $500 for it brand new (new, but opened box) and have been absolutely pleased with the fit and finish from this company.

I'm sure you'll be happy, blue looks pretty sweet and proper grab handle latches, liners and finish on the rs pro worth the 2-300bucks extra .
I can't see HF series 2 being a big enough change, expect still have the plastic finger latch !

So, I missed the earlier post about the 72" combo being in the NAPA system: 72RSCOMB.
Has anyone looked into this to see if it is actually available? I may call in the morning to see if it's a real option. Napa-online shows it at $1899. I would have jumped at that over the bottom box with the stainless top at that price even if there was a freight charge.

The top box by itself is also shows up searching the NAPA website: 72RSPRTC for $1149. Better than the Homak MSRP, but way higher than the combo price they have listed.

How deep is it? I've never seen those in the Real Deals flyer at Napa at all. Odd.
