So, I'm still seriously considering this box. I'm struggling because each option I look at, I look at the next step up I could get .... for just a little more $$$.
I like the option of a matching top box for future expansion. It's shown on the Homak site, but not NAPA yet. That would make the stainless top on the bottom box irrelevant I believe though. I'm not sure how much value additional work space on a stainless top would offer for me anyways. My current garage work bench is old thick steel that is pretty much indestructible. I would expect a stainless bench to get beat up pretty easily, no? Maybe you guys use the stainless tops for storage or very light work?
I'm still going back and forth between this, the HF options, or waiting on a good deal for a used truck brand or an industrial box (Lista, Vidmar, ...). Used Snap-on, Mac, Matco seem to still be much higher outside of the much older models. However, I have seen some good prices on Cornwell boxes. Too many options out there
I'd like this to be a long term box, so a few $$$ here or there doesn't matter for a significant upgrade. If money was the primary concern, I would probably just keep expanding by adding more of the HF 44" boxes (my current box).
