can you pose the pics of the delivery truck and pallet,,,your loot...
its seems weird HD would spend more on delivery then what the order amount

Eh too late. The tractor trailer didn't even have a lift gate, not even a ramp. Had to hand unload everything into the driveway, then bring it all inside. It was a workout.

2 of my orders are being held till I get back from Georgia in a week. One is getting delivered to the local HD, dunno why.

Today was a good day...

Every item was either...
Non-updated clearance sticker
Still on the shelf at normal price
In overhead with no display/shelf tag

You ****!! I've been wanting one of those grinders!

I hit our local HD clearance area again tonight, 20" bar and chain sets that fit my stihl's for 9$ so I bought 5 of them, 1/2 the price of a chain! Ryobi electric chainsaw thing with a jaw on clearance for 28$ from 129$, got one for a family member that lops up everything down to 1/2" twigs for their stove.

I checked out the tools section clearance, the bostich nailers are in the clearance area now but for only 20$ off and the cases have been retaped a bunch of times.

Today was a good day...

How, may I ask, did you find out they were discounted? Pro App (phone) or did you have an associate scan them for you?

You have to use one of the price check app on one of public access terminals in the store.

Purchased one of the new Ridgid Gen5x 5pc sets for $399 and then scored two Dewalt DS400 Tough Cases to store them in for $18.03 each, price tag on them still said $69.97.

Had to get someone with a ladder to get the boxes down from overhead

Fun Fact: The Ridgid 5pc set fits almost perfectly in the DS400 Tough Case

Planned on going after work today but got off late. Put the kid to bed and decided to drive the 15 or so minutes to the store to try my luck.

Here is what I scored tonight....
Paslode Nailer - $63
Bosch Laser - $28

Been lurking for a few weeks and checking local stores for deals. Haven't been able to get on a terminal yet to check for inventory and prices, but most of the employees have been pretty accommodating (looking up SKUs on their handhelds and advising which nearby stores have stock).
Picked up the Ridgid 12" sliding miter saw tonight. Sticker was still $399 but rang up at $299. Had a HF coupon that the checkout clerk had to get approval for, the manager was a younger girl and didn't think twice about honoring the coupon. $249.** out the door!

If you're in Peoria, we're in the same region: I was in my HD yesterday, and the last time I checked, there were 3 Milwaukee items on clearance in the PRO computer. Last night there were 15. Hint hint. They were at 06 status....

There were more Milwaukee stuffs on clearance at my local store this morning too, but none of them are actually at the store (nor do I really want any of the items)

I did get snagged looking at something that was in a clearance box in the first tier of overhead (the one you can reach with the yellow ladders). Dead Blow tools toolbelt, never even seen one at HD....there was no UPC tag on it so I couldnt go scan the price, then the employee showed up.

Also, if you're relying on the in store computer, you won't find the good stuff. Last night I was walking down the power tool aisle and the Ryobi 4 volts were on sale for 19 bucks...They didn't show up in the in store computer as on sale, but that was 50% off of regular price and they had a yellow sticker. Because I was relying on the in store computer the last couple of weeks instead of actually walking around, someone got them all.

Has anyone else seen the yellow (clearance) stickers used with items that are not actually clearanced or even marked down? I have run into this on occasion and I'm not sure why they would do that.

Prob. whomever was printing those tags was too lazy to change the sticker paper in those print carts you see all over the store.

Instead of the white or yellow price stickers, has anyone else seen red? What do red price stickers mean? They have them on only a few items at the stores around here.

People manage to steal air compressors?

About a year ago, someone stole about 5 tillers from the front of one of the Home Depot's in my town. Cut the 1" braided steel cable and rolled the tillers up onto a 16' trailer.

So yeah...anything can be stolen.

I was at my local store yesterday and there was a rep from Milwaukee there and I saw him put a few things in the clearance area. I didn't see any great deals though

Has anyone had luck buying the Dewalt DS400 & DS150 Tough system storage boxes in any state close to N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Montana or Wyoming? I am going to try to get a store a few hours away from me to do a price match. Since these aren't clearanced in my state, I'm sure they are going to be asking "where is that price from?" If it's relatively nearby, I may have luck vs saying I saw them in Florida, if us know what I mean. Thanks

They've never gone for sale around here, and I'm in the same region as you, or at least very close to being in the same region. I think Little Eagle SD is about 9 hours from me.

Gotta go check out the deals at the local HD. Seems like they never have any deals in there. I saw the two-packs of Milwaukee tapes up in the rafters two weeks ago, and asked a guy to get them down, and he told me he couldn't. So frustrating when they don't want to help.

No luck with a price match on the Dewalt tough system toolboxes, but I did score a couple of the shop lights at $15 apiece. Thanks OP, i'm gonna give them to a buddy.

OK, so I went to one of the local Home Depots while I was out running errands last night and I did not have a ton of time to check the place out but I went to the front help desk and the lady refused to look anything up about those Husky cabinets and just said to check in the clearance section, which did not have any deals worth purchasing. Then I went up to the other entrance and they had a computer that was linked to the HD website where you could look up items and I don't know if I did it wrong but I could not get ANY clearance items to show up. Eventually another Home Depot rep came up and told me to go look in the complete opposite end of the store where I found the cabinets but all at normal price.

I plan to go check a different Home Depot tomorrow but does anyone have any tips for me for when I get in there?

Dont go to HD's website. There's an icon on the desktop that says "price check." Click that.

Stopped into one of my local HDs this morning to see if I could find any unicorns. No luck with anything since there was a guy sitting at the computer waiting for something. But I did notice they had a **** ton of Milwaukee tools on the shelves. They had a few Milwaukee kits at the 00 price point but only about $25 lower than normal. Grabbed a few of the bare tools and brought them to price check but they all rang up full price as well.

Now begins the wait...

Got on the in-store PC today for the first time during lunch. Not much in my local store, but I did leave with a semi-score!

Picked up this Ridgid stainless wet/dry vac for 14.04. Inventory showed one available, I asked some dude who responded as expected 'No, we do not have that vacuum, it's on clearance and has been gone for months". 5 minutes later I found it in the rafters, then went to find the dude to get it down! He was like, "damn, they've been looking for that thing for months"...evidently not that hard, it's a shiny vacuum on the edge of the top row!

I picked one up today at the same price and it was also sitting on the front row of the bin right above the other shop vacs. It still had a spring black friday sign taped to the side that said "$49.97" in large print. That for posting or I would not have found it.

I remember the guys from Toolguyd and Tools in Action just came back from a Milwaukee tools event where they were showing off the New Fuel line of tools. That must mean that they are going to clear out all the old Fuel line soon, well at least I hope, for the new Fuel line.

I did see that, but it requires you to know the UPC or bar code number. I'll have to print out some of these deals you guys have had and use that for reference.

Please read posts 1 and 3 on page 1 of this thread. Then go read page 1 of the how-to find penny deals thread.

These same questions keep getting asked here, even though the answers have been put in a conspicuous location where it's easy to find them.
