I saw the m18 drill & impact combo with 2 xc batteries for 250 a week ago & today saw it at the other hd in town for 240. Not sure if I want to hold out & get the brushless.

Managed to snag a floor model of the 52" glass front drawer tool cabinet for 33.03 :) Was dusty as all get out and locked without keys, But I was able to remove the lock cylinder and clean it up when I got it home... A little too flimsy for tools, but is going to make a nice addition to my girl's classroom :bounce:

> FREE WIFI

Has anyone used the free wifi in the HD stores? If so, what are you able to do with it? It sure would be a nice way to access the Price Check app for those guys who keep getting chased off of the computers. Is that even possible? I notice that all of the stores seem to offer free wifi, but I'm not sure what good that is.

Thanks.

Nothing other than a wifi connection.

Still have to use store comps for price check app, etc.

Signal drops out in most HDs I've been in - they probably do it to keep some of us in there and walking around - potential $$$ to be spent.

Nice! How did you get the manager to knock off so much? I was able to get $50 off the $299 Ridgid Miter saw since it was a floor model, but at a different store they would NOT budge on the price of a floor model Milwaukee Fuel Impact even though it was missing a battery, charger, and case.

I doubt it is tied to their network at all. That would be just another IT security issue which Home Depot definitely doesn't need

Or to track your movement through the store? Kinda like some of the malls do...free internet is never truly free.

I got all excited, found four 4.0 kits tucked behind a 5.0 kit. Took one to SCO, rang up as the 5.0 kit. They do share the same store SKU, as I mentioned earlier. I didn't have time to talk to the manager, but does anyone know how to get them to ring it up correctly?

That's odd. I did find that SKU in stock at Portland, ME, about 20 minutes from Biddeford. Scanned at $150. I don't know if it was 4.0 or 5.0..

Gonna check my local store today.

Edit: actually it was the same model number 48-59-1840. Is the 5.0 the same model number?

Home depot parking lot must be the new begging point here. Two stores and people wanting something. All I could find was recip saw blades for a $1 each.

Picked up two more brad nailers yesterday. I had already gotten 4 from that store and it was still showing 1 on hand. Located two up in the rafters with the wrong SKU printed on the side of them. Got them down and confirmed that they were the right models.

Probably could have let them get to penny status since the SKUS were wrong but didn't want to miss out.

There is one guy around here that walks around with a 2 gallon gas can

"My car just ran out of gas, can you spare a couple bucks?"

Except Ive seen him at every Home Depot that I go to, miles apart from each other.

Makes me wonder just how much money he makes, a couple bucks at a time.

You'll laugh at what my local HD had on a Paslode fuel w/ nails.

Had yellow sticker so I thought I scored one, but said it was missing fuel, and marked down to $19.98 . . . WTH ??!!??

Picked up another backpack sprayer yesterday. PC app listed zero stock for a couple weeks but there was one just sitting in a random spot in the store. Hoping it might ring up as a penny but not that lucky. Still can't complain at ~18 bucs after tax!.

I'll never need another sprayer...

Speaking of Paslode fuel.. I picked up 8 of these for 44 cents each:

Roofer's Choice Spare Roofing Fuel Cell (1-Pack) SKU 436849

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Paslode-Roofer-s-Choice-Spare-Roofing-Fuel-Cell-1-Pack-816006/202568286

Put them up on eBay since I have no use for them, $30 plus 10 shipping for all 8. Sold within 15 minutes of appearing on eBay. I guess it's a good deal since they retail for $10.99 each, but that was a nice quick profit. Only cost me like $3 to ship them.

Nice..... "Home Depot Price checker" may be my new job title.

Thanks for all your posts!

Who is this Coralnut you speak up?

lol ya my back is killing me. But in all honesty, do you plan on keeping those or selling them? I would think you would lose a lot selling those on eBay with the shipping costs, and selling them on Craigslist you might be holding onto them for a long time.

Anyway, I'm jealous.. I just want 1 or 2 of the small Toughsystem boxes.. haven't been able to find them on clearance here. Any clearance stores are sold out, and any stores with stock are full price and won't match.

Oh wow, something that I was able to find and you werent!!!?? Im so proud :)

Local store listed 4 of the XL size and 4 of the small size. Could only find 3 of the XL size but did get all 4 of the small size along with them.

Cashier noted how good of a deal I got and mentioned from the dust they must have just been sitting in overhead with all of the other inventory they forget about until its on clearance.

It as been awesome chasing them....more on the radar. I feel that once they are gone they will be gone for ever as far as Home Depot is concerned.

They are all in to Ridgid in my neck of the woods and "Joe Public will
buy whatever"
