There are at least 100 stores in Chicagoland. But that doesn't help as much as you think it would, because the number of customers is so high that the ratio of people to stores isnt really better than it is in other areas. Then, if you factor in traffic, you figure out that although the stores are close on the map, city traffic is so congested that the stores are hours apart. All things considered, I don't think the ability to get deals is any better here. In fact, it may be even worse because of the concentration of shoppers. It's really hard to find deals here, especially after the inventory clean-ups.
