I've wanted to check out one of those laser distance deals for awhile and today I finally found a Bosch GLM40 at a store. Pulled it, took it to the self checkout and...

"Item not Found"

Of course the cashier came over and after four or five people tried to do stuff, they decided that it was $99.97 and that was it. No bueno.

Is there anything to do at that point? Once it's not in the system anymore, I assume we're sort of done, right?

Was it ringing up in the computer as 25? Tell them you were at another store and they looked it up via some computer app and have them honor price. The same happened to me. The box even had in sharpie wont scan.

Was it the GLM40 X the one with the X is the new model

99.97 is the price of the MSRP of the new model.

Also make sure they scanned the correct bar code, sometimes the yellow code on the sticker it wrong. I have some cable connectors that have the yellow bar code sticker and that sticker says it is for lighted tips.

Same thing happened to me. I had to show him a picture with the SKU and he manually entered it.

I think the problem with the Bosch GLM40 is that there are 2 versions of it (not including the new X model). I think the difference is there is a Japan version and a Malaysia one. Mine is from Malaysia with UPC 0-00346-46787-1 if everyone could check theirs. Mine didn't scan at SCO either. I'm thinking the Japan version is different UPC

My haul for today:
- Full Motion Flat Panel TV Wall Mount for 20 in. - 47 in. TVs (SKU 524226) - got 2 for $.01ea
- MBI 26" tool cabinet (SKU 1001224853) - $.01.
- 2 pack 6ft CE Tech super slim HDMI cable (don't have the SKU in front of me, can find if someone wants it) - $4.83

I found the tool cabinet on the top shelf while looking for the Husky all black 27" cabinet. It took me about 45 minutes and 3 associates to find someone that would pull it down for me. The guy was new and was going to try and pull it down a ladder himself before I convinced him to use the lift and not kill himself (or my tool chest).

I just picked up the 26" MBI top chest the other day for $25.03, so this should work even better than the Husky I was originally looking for.

The cashier called the manager after scanning the 2 flat panel mounts and got the go ahead, at which point she wrote down a number (I'm assuming the SKU). She scanned the cabinet and had to call him back for approval. She then said it was my lucky day and I owe her. Not sure what I owe her for, but took my **** and headed out.

Picked up a couple of Lutron 3 - way 3 - speed fan control switches for a penny each. SKU is 509596. They were on an end cap and were marked at $7.53.

I passed on the empire level when I read the tolerances on it. I cannot remember but is was a huge number compared to the bosch laser measure that was 1/16" over 140 ft.

My road trip for vacation didn't end with a truckload of deals...

Hit up 6 stores and picked up a few of the Milwaukee clamps and meters along with a few of the husky wheeled stool. Stool was 7.53.

Looked high and low in a couple stores for the husky blackout top chest and husky 52" tool chest and cabinet set...nothing. How do you lose one of those huge husky sets, I'll never know!

Hitting up a couple more local stores tomorrow.

Same here. One store couldn't find a 52" top&bottom Husky set. How the hell do you lose a whole pallet??

Any deals in Portland? Picked up my stuff in Augusta on my way north.

They had a bunch of those "penny" sheds haha $699 IIRC. To answer your question they are on a long pallet. One shed per pallet.

Faucets were unbelievably organized. Each brand in each bay. No stragglers.

Debating on those .75 HP garage door openers, they seem nice. Need to keep an eye out for when they drop again.

Outside of using them in a profession or project, what use are 18?

I thought about getting a spare but zoro sells a light that appears to be the same (?) But slightly different model number for $6 and change.

Sounds like an inexperienced tech pulling wire and constantly cutting the tape because it's stuck.

Found a store today that had no clearance sections at all and top stock was bare bones. May be some truth to the elimination of top stock.

Thanks everyone for posting deals. I hope at some point to help - out from Lubbock, TX. Today however, about 4 hours at 2 local Home Depots wasn't fruitful. My dad however snagged a clamp meter on Amarillo for me.

Picked up the husky box. Laser level-empire and husky. And another case of t8 bulbs. Got $20 back on some items that had dropped in price even more. I'm watching the 1.25hp garage door opener.

Stores in my area?

I found what I thought was a good deal this evening. Dang SCO computer said this. SCO lady took the item away from me and said it had to go back because it was recalled. Deals have been hard to come by here in central NC. I think the managers have gotten wise to what's going on.
