Questions for experts -
1. If there's an item without a box (return or display, but not refurbished. no sku, no refurbished sku) and that item is a penny - is it customer's to keep or not
(assuming customer can provide a screenshot with matching picture and SKU)
2. If the item has a refurbished SKU (usually engraved on some handle

) and a green "was $***, now $**" sticker, while the non-refurbished SKU is a penny - what are the chances of getting it for a penny?
I understand both of the above are up to the store, but I wonder if there's an official HD policy on this. I contacted 800# 3 times in regards to penny items and one time rep didn't have any idea what I was talking about, so I had to hang up and redial. So my guess is the answers from 800# may vary.
I know there's a way around it by letting them charge you last clearance price and then contact corporate and get price adjustment, but I'd rather not go that far, plus store may use some other sku and that may turn into even more hassle.
Thanks
