Been $98 for quite a while. Does it make a difference that it just now got a yellow tag and discontinued? Before I think it was a "new lower price" white tag

No. It just went to .06 pricing like two weeks ago. You got at least a month. Take a vacation and relax for a bit haha

Demonstrating the effectiveness of "clearance" mentality. They were 99.00 for months, they hit 98.06 and all of the sudden everyone goes crazy! I've been noticing that some of the stuff I'm watching disappears when it hits clearance period. Not sure if its employees or what, there's several items I've watched drop to clearance then vanish. Kinda ridiculous. I watch a lot of the employees in my area on offerup and craigslist. Hell, probably easy to spot on eBay also. I know what stores they cover based on location and what they're offering, and when it disappears. Luckily, a lot of them wait until penny. But there's always a few that don't.
I don't think it had much to do with the. 06 pricing, at least near me.
The stock was dwindling fast at the 99.00 price

I was at a store today and the sco attendant was facing away from the screen. when i scanned 2 penny items and swiped my card it started to say see attendant but then the reciept printed. i was at this store a week ago and scanned 2 penny items with no see attendant message. I know the guy at sco didnt try to stop the transaction because he wasnt even paying attention.
I wonder if they updated the registers or if there is an option to turn on/off the see attendant message when a penny item is scanned. I also noticed a new trend of 1 or 2 employees posted up at the aisle across from sco at a podium and watching customers/employees.

you still seeing them in stores? I've only seen one store with a few scattered in the rafters, everyone that had full wrapped pallets of them are now gone though.
still at least 7 at my store

You're right, mostly cleared out when it turned clearance but three left at one of my local stores right on the floor.

Just to update this, you guys were right. Never believe them for a second. They never called. I called the store several times, they never let me talk to anyone in LP and the MOD said he had no info as it was a LP issue. I also called corporate to try and get some info (didn't mention the penny price) but as soon as I mentioned that LP was involved they said they can't help I have to talk to LP. So it seems LP is a good tool for them to use to stop penny items from leaving the store as managers and even corporate won't interfere.
Thursday I called corporate again when I had still heard nothing and multiple calls to the store had failed. The rep called the store and told me the store had gotten rid of the item. Apparently the store told her that I was a penny shopper because she came back on and told me that because I had bought penny items at that store in the past I am probably getting fed information on were the penny items are. She also said the store can't sell anything for a penny they can only sell for last clearance price. So don't ever expect corporate to back you up.
I guess I'm lucky this was the first one that got away from me. I redeemed myself yesterday with 20 extension cords, a nutone, and a 200pc tool set for $25.02

I've never seen a PD model GDO in the 30+ HD's I've been to.

Where'd you score those at? I pretty much cleaned out the north side and north suburbs.
How much do you sell them for? I just picked up what I think are the last four in the Indianapolis area for $22 each. I also just scored my second penny deal on six of the brass bathtub drains.
I scored all of these at 47th and Western Avenue. Somebody went through and ripped all the price tags off the opener so you couldn't tell what anything costed. But of course I knew. My only concern was another stores computer yesterday said they had 12 and I couldn't make it till today I figured they would be gone.
Has anyone seen a Grizzly John Deere cooler? Found a few in NH, nothing came up in PCA, and SCO says See attendant so I just put it back. Looks like eBay and others have it listed.
If this has already been clearanced out please let me know the last / lowest price so I can try and make a deal.

Since you can still really search and see what they normally sell for,I don't go to crazy. I try to average $40-50 profit on each one. May keep one of these though to throw on my single door that we use only sparingly. Already got a whisper belt drive on the big door..Actually tempted to keep on for a shed we plan to put in backyard this summer.
Great hit... That's what I like about getting it at last clearance price.. 02,03...just easy.. When it pennies, then whole HD drama team show up denying the deal,, sometimes not even sell at last clearance price. They would rather trash it.. I missed out on 5 gdo 520evg that way.

Yeah, it's crazy they would rather trash than sell..I haven't been denied last clearance price yet,but I'm sure it'll happen sooner or later!! Pennies are cool,but .02,.03 is fine for me if it's a really good item. Turned down some Husky tweezers today when they wanted last clearance price. Already got some so no big deal.
Did make a BIG mistake today though!! Saw a wrapped in shrink wrapped Vissani wine cooler on flr tagged $127.06 I think..Figured it may be a penny, or at least $60ish so decided to see how cashiers were reacting at this store. that's when i got denied on the tweezers..ok go back to get the cooler.Hell,$60ish is freaking awesome!! When I get back to it,just that fast employee on his off day is loading it up on cart to buy it. What the hell was I thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh well,you live and learn. Couldn't help but laugh out loud. Actually we talked for awhile and he was a cool guy. He confirmed all we know. He said his store is crazy against penny deals,but last clearance price is always fine. Confirmed they do crush mostly all the stuff they catch. This was the store where I scored the penny steam mop and 4 gallon sprayer last week. He said your luck at his store depends whos working the front that day..

What's the sku or model # on that vissani?
I spoke too soon yesterday when I said all Moen faucets around here are full price. Found a Finley on the clearance rack at my 7th store marked $169 under a generic sku. SCO called attendant, but they ended up selling it to me for $20. Is there a way to enter a sku at SCO? I didn't think about it until after, but when they entered the SKU it came up as a penny. I wonder if I had entered the generic sku instead of scanning the barcode if I could have gotten it out of there for a penny. Anyway, here's my take after four stores today...

That's interesting on the elite 65qt as they are $299 down here which seems the regular price with no discount. I have had my eyes on them to see if they follow the same discount as the 45qt.
