Foiled again in North Plano, Texas. After searching through the store, rafters, and a couple of trips to the self-checkout for a price check, I asked one of the people working there about clearance stuff. He said what hits clearance usually gets tossed on a pallet and shipped off to Habitat for Humanity stores about once a month so if I see something, grab it.

That is funny. Just like where I bought one yesterday with a $439 price.The air filters are different than the one I bought. More red smaller tool boxes showed up today.

They wouldn't let me pay for it and pick it up later. They would hold it in will call till 5 p.m. but I didn't trust it after some employees were talking about the price. Managed to stuff it in the back of my station wagon.

The grumpy lady even complained about giving me 10% off. She said she would not allow will call to hold clearance items. At any rate, it's in my car for $105.

I've paid and picked up later many times. They where buffing to see if you would pass on it.
Searched 2 stores that said they had multiples of those in stock as well as the pressure washer. ZERO luck finding any of them.

Finally scored 2 52" Husky boxes, with the help of another Garager. This is the first big item that I have found multiple incorrect store inventory counts. I visited 4 stores that showed 2-3 in stock and they were no where to be found. given the size, pretty hard to miss in a store so their physical count was off. I see that on small items, but rarely on large items like this. The 27 and 41 inch box counts were correct at the dozen or so stores I searched last year. Also had 8 "hold for met team" labels they clearly ignored, woohoo.

Wow great day found the 52 Husky tool chest for 125 never thought I'd find one. Walked around my local store while I was there picking up the Ego blower and found a set in the top storage by the door section wrapped in plastic on a pallet. Ran back to CS they looked it up comfirmed the price and I payed for it. Found a guy outside in the parking lot called Sonik Dilevery yea Sonik with a K. 40 bucks and it was home. So if anyone sees them at a south Florida HD they are on clearance down here too. Also saw a lot of kiwikset locks in the clearance end cap. .06 pricing

For anyone who looking for pennies in the Georgetown store (Austin), Ray has them all stashed in the back of the store just to the right of the Vacuums on the first shelf (easily within reach if your tall or w/yellow ladder):
I was trying to check out the delta faucet in the bottom right corner of the pic, but it was sitting on top of a dewalt screwdriver set (the one that was on clearance a few months ago). So, pretty sure it's full of pennies.
I left it unmolested bc I'm too gunshy about grabbing pennies off the top shelves after attracting the attention of Loss Prevention a couple weeks ago when going after a Butterball Fryer outside in the garden dept. a few weeks ago (Apparently swiping at something with a variety of long lawn tools while balancing on several bags of gravel looks suspicious to them).

Grabbing penny's off the top shelves really isn't my style, but I can grab this down easily and it's worth enough to risk looking like an idiot if I get busted, but wanted to make sure there was a UPC to scan before I went for it.
If there is no UPC, what do you think the best course of action is in securing it? Does anyone know what the last clearance price was on these back when they were being clearanced?

You can get it. 100.03 = last clearance. That's what the will charge you, BUT.... Crack it open and make sure it's not used or missing stuff.
First just give them the sku # # # and when it comes up penny,, ask them to honor it.. Head cashier, front manager all say no.. But Yu have to say, can I talk to main store manager to honor the penny or not.
And if not, bargain to like 25 to 50..if new and Yu need it.. Pay more.
But convincing them it the right sku is the hard part.. After that, it can be easy penny of hard fight. Depends on managers.

You can scan the UPC from your phone?
No.. Yu could get in trouble.. Or arrested.
But if Yu are gambling man.. After all,, it is the correct Barcode.
But when I tested Barcode scan from smartphone,, it didn't scan at all.. But I was only doing check price option with no items with me.. So all legit.
But Yu could ask csr to scan it as way to prove item is penny and correct description.
But sometimes, I had head cashier accept Barcode or sku # #, penny comes up, they call manager on phone, who saids give it to him.. Easy.

Yea I had no intention of scanning UPC from phone. Whenever I saw that LP was watching me trying to fetch that turkey fryer I mentioned, I had flash backs to high school and a stop at Bass Pro during a school trip when my best friend got detained for switching the water bladder in a back pack he bought with one that was slightly bigger (difference in price was less than $2.00). He was already 18 so our Ag. Teacher called him a dumb a**, called his parents to let them know what was up, and left is *** there. He ended up spending several hours in the Houston lockup waiting for his dad to make the drive from San Antonio.
I'm just going to wait until about 45 min till closing, take it to customer service, give them the sku/UPC and go from there. If I face any resistance, I'll listen to some slipknot or something similar while I wait for the manager to get up there, lol.

sorry i dunno the sku off the top of my head. just type husky into pca and filter for clearance and it will definitely show them.
i found one '301' 30 gal on a pallet without a box at the front and center exit. i found one '302' completely opened with no pallet in the compressor aisle with the wrong sku info stickered over the right sku info. i found my unopened mystery compressor in a box and on a pallet in the rafters. the guy didnt check it and i still havent bothered with it beyond cutting it off the pallet
