i'm after one of these!![]()
Scored 4 more schlage oval/aged bronze bedroom door knobs (.01) today Thanks Spn..........the rest of them I got (over the past few weeks) were at the .03 level (from $8-$38). Got about 30 levers/knobs/handle sets in total for our renovation project.
I've finally figured it out.. There is an employee that's buying all the penny deals locally and posting them on craigslist right away. I've been seeing the stuff coming up on craigslist then a day or two later I see something mentioned on here about the same items. they are getting EVERYTHING.
I wonder what his GJ screen name is![]()

Are they putting those 1 cent stickers on the aisles or are you getting those from somewhere else?
Id love to meet another local GJ'r I don't really want in on all the deals but there are one or two things I would have really liked to got a bargain on![]()
well he trusted me so I took the card used it, came out and paid him cash. I wouldn't buy a gift card for half price if I had to pay for it right away.
my other concern is - what if I need to return the merchandise... can I have issues getting gift card money back?
that's why I paid the rest in cash today. I don't intend to return this merchandise but I would like to see if I can adjust the price if the price drops. so I guess return/rebuy my not be an option.
Yes, it's a very common theft scheme. Here's how it works in its most basic form:
Shithead goes to store with liberal return policy (like Home Depot and Lowe's, which don't require receipts).
Shithead steals some merchandise from that store.
Shithead goes back to the store with said merchandise and claims he paid cash for it and he wants to return it. The store will not give him cash because he has know receipt and while they can't prove it they know what he is up to, so they give him a gift card.
Shithead then goes into the parking lot, where he knows he will find many potential buyers, and sells this gift card at a discounted price.
Shithead then uses the money to go buy crack or heroin or meth or whatever poison he prefers.
There are many different variants on the scheme, but that's the basic version of it.
Ok, I thought this was a HD CLEARANCE thread.

That 16/3 is only good for 10A since it is 100ft, but not bad for the blower

You should be good. Most snow blower starters I have seen come with 16GA. You should be good.Would an electric start on a snowblower draw more than 10 amps? That's really the only thing I would use this for
I bought a similar set last year for a penny. They seem to be holding up pretty good, but I don't use them all the timeGrabbed these, not sure if it's worth keeping but I felt like buying something...
