I still have a card that isn't chip that approves quickly. Chip cards are brutally slow at SCO.

The Bosch laser levels dropped to .03 status so I picked up 3 different types. I was going to try and hold out until they dropped to a penny, but its too risky. I haven't seen them at all stores though...they are probably gone already.

Also, the Ryobi radio with battery is down to $18.98 and the 14pc Ridgid Cobalt drill bit set was $7.53 for me today (I got the only one I found).

They gave me a hassle doing return/rebuys the last 2 times. I don't know what is going on. Anyway, I got everything adjusted except for the 3ft shop light, which apparently already hit penny status. They weren't going to do it for me anyway, without actually bringing the light back (which is hanging in my garage). Just out of spite, I would have taken that darn thing down and brought it back. I didn't like the attitude they gave me today.

Are the bosch rotary levels on clearance?

This.

If I think/know I have a penny item in hand I ready my home depot card since it's not chipped (oh the irony), mute the sco, scan it and add to transaction if it's a penny. Then swipe and get out of dodge ASAP

Gift cards go pretty quick when I have them. I'd be willing to wager that they are quicker then cash.

I wish their newer card machines supported tap and pay. My new phone has a fingerprint reader and Android Pay....unlock phone, tap, done. Really fast.

Quicker than paper money, most likely. But if all you're getting is penny items, coins all the way.

I stumbled across the water heater copper hoses when looking for watts pressure reducing valve. They had 13 of them, but the barcodes were messed up and I didn't want to fight for them. Just a heads up.

Anyone have the sku for those watts valves?

Page 78 post #1551 may be the ones you're looking for. It looks like the box says "565830" Watts Double Check Valve Assembly.

Based on that photo, there may be none left in the country!! haha

Stopped by HD on the way home from work. Looked around for GDO, no dice. I did find two 7" inch tile saw blades at the bottom of the stack of blades which rang up for a penny each. Found the Schalge electronic deadbolts (bronze matching the SKU for a penny) but the rang up at $199. Bummed because actually could use some for my house. I did manage to find the outward facing computer with the price check app though so that was good and always located all the "Clearance" end displaces in the store. I never really payed attention to them before.

Not a penny but not bad if you don't care about the ripple finish. Varathane Poly Clear Ripple. $3.80

What I've found in my area is that about 85% of the HD's DO NOT have a computer facing outward for the customer to readily use. They do, however, typically turn one of the customer service or Pro Desk computers around on Saturday & Sundays only. :dunno:

If the store doesn't have any of the outward-facing terminals, I typically go over to the appliance department and ask if it's okay to checkout some stuff on the the computer. Haven't been told no yet and most of the time the employee just goes about their business. Those that don't kinda pressure you to see what you're looking for and want to help you find it while standing there. Eventually they walk away.

The two closest HD's to me have computers facing outwards at the pro desk and one has another off the side of the customer service desk. I prefer using the appliance / kitchen remodel department computers. RARELY is there any one using them, Unlike the ProDesk..... ANYWAYS on my last few trips I was kicked off the appliance / remodel computers.... Don't know if its a new corporate policy, store policy, or just a couple PITA HD Employee's

The computer I used today is unfortunately right by the entrance right when you walk in where HD associates normally hang out. I felt like some of them were starring at me while I was searching prices. I've never used them at this store before and never even knew such a price checker existed that can scan the whole store. I was just waiting to get told I can't use it but I can't imagine the public isn't allowed to use the computer given its location. The main screen was setup like an iPhone with a ton off apps on it.

Seems like the stores that are located in the ghetto areas do not have the computers faced outward at the prodesk section.

There's a bunch of computers in philly where you wouldn't expect them. In the lighting section usually halfass on some shelf or I've even seen one in the plumbing department before. One time at the pro desk the lady insisted that I not use it without her and was offended that I thought that I could use it. It was weird. Another time, similar situation the lady insisted that I not search and just ask the guy in hardware. What a joke.

Do u think it's a bad idea to use my empty pellet bags as packing material for shipping? I hate to send my trash but they work pretty good lol.

I tried out the Chamberlain intercom listed above. Don't bother. The sound and operation quality was terrible.

.

I was on the crappy side of town Saturday at a outward facing computer looking up stuff. After about 5 minutes, a girl comes out from the pro desk with a confused look and asks me if I work here. I say no and she tells me she doesn't think I can just use the computer. I told her yes I can and that's why it's facing outward. Then told her she might want to check with her manager if she is unaware of this. She seemed very new. :pimpflash

HD220's finally went penny status round here. Seems all the employees hid them in anticipation.

Everyone buying Paslode's but not nails? Saw these last night.

Picked these up. Think they will work, never used a framing nailer before. Any thoughts?

That's nice price for 1,000 nails for $4.50 as I paid around $40 for 2,500 of similar thing.

You'll just need nailgun that takes paper-tape 30 degree nails. What you also have to make sure is . . . . Full-Head . . . . versus . . . Clipped-Head

Mines takes clipped head paper-tape nails but it's older Hitachi framing nail gun. It works with either 28 degree or 30 degree nails but they need to be paper-tape and clipped head. I love that nailgun as it's super lightweight and works flawlessly.

Just a heads up, I think those nails are ONLY useable by a few Paslode models. I don't know if they will work for other brands. I know they work for the CF325LI model.
Most paper-tape framing nails are 33 degrees AND clipped head, wire-weld is 28 degrees, and plastic-strip is 21 degrees. I think those nails are Paslode-specific.
