The other day I saw an employee pulling all the rolls of Screen from the shelves. I figured it hit a penny in my store & the head store mgr has everyone believing they absolutely cannot sell it at a penny. So I grabbed one & went through SCO. Got thru paying one cent on my credit card no less. Got to my truck & thought, hum, I could redo some rentals I have.....

So back I went loaded up my cart & proceeded to get caught by the employee previously pulling the screen. I thought I'd play dumb this time & as luck would have it, a new asst mgr was called & kindly gave me for "free" the 30 rolls in my cart. I also gathered they would rather give it away than have it rung up as the mgr went on to talk about giving the rest away to a not for profit charity in town.

Late that day at the next closest HD (150 miles away) I found a couple Corona pruners which weren't even in the system anymore. Knowing I may get stopped I asked a mgr if I could just have these 2 pruners since they aren't in the system. He said yes, & that they had s basket of them a few weeks ago tagged as FREE. So I walked out with 4 for free!

Also scored 2 of the Nutone exhaust fans. Almost covered my gas!!

I got a dusty tool box for $0.01 yesterday. Looks a lot like this, only all black. All packaging was long gone, only the barcode remains. RIDGID Model # 222571

And I got a Rigid generator for $99.00
Model # RD903612 3,600-Watt 211cc Gasoline Powered Portable Generator with Subaru Engine

Unfortunately, this morning I realized I don't really need a generator. Maybe I can trade it for a dirt bike or go kart or something.

I think I'm an addict now.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but the 24-pack cases of Liquid Nails Projects Construction Adhesive (SKU# 119066) are ringing up at a penny. The box looks very similar to the newer model so if you can't find the SKU on the box look for the model# LN-601 printed on the side of the box. The newer model is LN-701.

Thanks for reminding me, I need to check on a few Fiskars items.

Those went down to 49.99 around here believe it not. I couldn't find one. Seems they were all gone since long before I found them at 99

Not a killer deal at my store, but was $230 & I bought for $99 each. Chair height, elongated, lined tank to prevent sweating/ condensatation on outside of tank, white, good flushing & nothing "left behind", quite quiet refill & comfortable seat with quiet close feature included.

Yes, I can personally attest to the comfort & well the rest too!

Were the Nutone fans a penny or still ending in .03?

A quick ebay search shows the power head is selling for $40.

that's it?? lousy. I was selling Ryobi power heads last year for $80
I would just buy them and hold on to them for a while until the Slickdeals sellers get sold out and the price goes back up

Spn, if you don't mind me asking, what do you look to make off an item when you resell? Let's say a **.03 item and also a penny item. For me it seems like if you don't at least double your money on the **.03 items, it's kind of a waste of time. i am trying to sell a few things locally to avoid shipping costs on eBay but I am not having much luck and I think maybe it's because I am looking to make to much off my investment?

any profit lol.. as long as it's not a loss

a $20 profit is $20 I didn't have before. it all adds up. Just figure in the shipping and paypal fees to make sure you're not losing money.

Also, make bulk lots for small things.. I sold 52 Husky single sockets as one lot.. selling the 8" tile saw blades as one lot (gave the 7" ones to my dad).

That's what I'm doing with my 8 Paslode Nailers. Got them listed for sale locally on Craigslist but I'd assume just hang on to them for a few months and get a good price for them vs unloading them now on ebay for $200.

You sure about that? I got two up there for $80 and most are at $85. Didn't see anything lower for a new one.

I'm on my phone but did a completed/sold search for toro power head and that's what I saw. Lots of folks asking a lot more but saw most sold for a lot less.

Perhaps I was looking at the wrong one

Don't ever buy anything hose with Flexon **** thing...Flexon is junk... I bought 2 from costco and both of them started developing bubbles and holes... I only used it less then 10times and holes...POS...
I have since bought sears black rubber hose....what a nice hose...no holes, bubbles...and pretty easy to roll up....works perfect....almost 1yr no problem
If you want hose....buy sears craftsman black rubber hose or kmart one...same brand.... I got them last time for $12 for 50ft roll....normal sale is like $19 for 50ft roll...

Flexion is junk, and you know it's junk because they stole the name of a good product (Flexogen). No hose beats the 8 ply Flexogen.

Same here I sold 28 of those 10 pc Husky allen wrench for 40 dollars as a lot. I only made 18 dollars after shipping and fees. But like Spn says a profit is a profit. The bulky stuff your better off selling on craigslist. If its over sized or to heavy it will cost you. But you can make money just add it up before you buy it, and keep the receipts if it doesn't sell in 90 days you can return it or do a yard sale.

Will HD do a price adjustment if the item is out of stock? They only have 1 left, and I bought it for $30 more on Sunday than it is today. They said they would do a price adjust, but I'd rather wait until Friday for personal scheduling, but I'm worried that if they sell the last one by Friday they wont have any more and will say no adjustment because out of stock.

Scored 2 more nailers today. I thought I had cleared out the area, but went back to a store I had already looked at previously and found 2. One was new and one was reconditioned. Paid $100 for the new and negotiated $30 off the reconditioned.

Yes. and if they say no, tell them you want to return it. then rebuy it after they process the return.
