Met a guy 30 minutes from me to sell my paslode. Then stopped at the HD right down the street. The store had been picked clean or they clear penny stuff out quick.

The store layout was a little odd and had trouble finding the watts pressure valves. A sales associate asked if I needed any help and I said just looking for pressure valves. So he walked me back and showed them to me. He asked if mine was froze up, I said no just a slow leak I was going to possibly replace it and was just checking out prices. He then just showed me the 3/4 watts and then began to ask me a ton more questions looking at me suspiciously asking me if there was any other projects I was working on. I told him thanks for his help then he grabbed the ladder at the end of the aisle and proceeded to pull it up right next to me. He was putting things in the overhead area. He was all the way in the front of the store when he asked me if I needed help and was no where near that section. I think he was suspicious of what I was doing and maybe wise to the penny schemes. I searched craigslist in that area and had saw a few GDO for sale, so I kind of thought the store might be a bust.

Oregon and Washington stores are fiscal year end it looks like. They're clearancing everything from generators to huge entry doors this week. Anything that was green tagged before this week just dropped to like 70-90% off.

Bought a Briggs and Stratton 5000w generator for $250 (display model). Apparently I missed the front entry door sale and have to wait till next year to do my front door remodel. Every store I called said they were bought the instant they were put by the pro desk.

KS did the same, but MO did Not. I need that generator though, have the model or receipt handy??

i think i found some penny deals today but the old man was a jerk. he had a buggy full of stuff when i rounded the corner and the clearance section was kind of empty. i asked him if any of it was clearance (i knew it was, im in there every day) and he said no and turned away from me to play on his store computer/phone thingy. there was a dewalt 18 volt combo kit in there. they had been marked down to 109, i almost wanted to grab it and run.

I found 4 of the Bosch GOL 24 units today at the $65.03 price and a yellow tag date of 8/10/15. Checked on the PCA and they are indeed still $65.03.

Should I go back tomorrow and buy them or pass?

Be sure to take a HF or Lowe's coupon with you. I've purchased several of these at different stores this week and each time they accepted my 20% off HF coupon.

Found a re-conditioned Echo PB-500T blower today with no sale tag, just the repair tag. Had the outdoor garden associate look up the SKU on his first phone and when he saw the penny price he said he couldn't sell it. Fortunately I've become friends with one of the MODs at this store so I asked him and he just gave it to me.

If there are no customer-facing computers, I head back to Appliances and simply ask a clerk, "hey, do you mind if I look up a few items on the computer?" 99% of the time they say sure and go about their business. If they stick around, I just surf HD.com for a bit and they finally walk away.

EDIT: Just don't look for appliances on HD.com if they are standing there. If you do, then they will never leave and ask you what you're looking for and want to show you everything!!

So i picked up one of the Bosch gl -225 range finders at another home depot with the intent to do a return rebuy at a home depot by me that has em on clearnace for $38. Did it wih no issues and as i was walking thru the clearnace aisle finally saw a Delta temp20. Rang it up for a penny

Storm doors were store specific. I bargained them down from $75 each because I took all 3. So I got them for $25 each (with door hardware! satin nickel/bronze/brass)

Storm Doors: 733-158, 693-241, 732-901 $25 each (see above)
Butyl Rubber Window & Door Flashing 115-470: $4.53
Wet Look Concrete sealer 101-600: $1.00 + .75 paint fee
Screen Material: entire section is .01. They're usually located in the back near doors/windows aisle...picked up aluminum screen and fiberglass charcoal colored. Look in boxes in rafters if you don't have any on the shelf (they're clearing them out of almost every store I've been to today or tomorrow). Don't have sku on hand, sorry.

I love going on these hunts but it is just sooooo time consuming to do it right that I can't fathom how you guys get to so many stores, and so frequently. Perhaps it's because I have a newborn, or the traffic in CA makes trips to stores a chore???

I am happy if I can hit one or two stores a week, but I stick to all local stores due to time/travel constraint, so my finds are limited. I don't have much time for it either, wish I had more...

How about this....Was watching a Gladiator 52" rolling tool chest that run $800 new. Only 2 available anywhere with one being a floor model. Watched price drop to $599 and then $399 a few days ago. Decided to buy the last new one at that price. I figured I'd watch the floor model on the PCA and snag it if it dropped in price again. I was in the store just now and checked the price and it dropped to $99!! Said 1 was still in inventory (the floor model) but they could not locate. I told them I paid $399 a few days ago for the same item and they offered to return and resell it to me at the $99 price. Sweet! Got a $800 toolbox for $99.

Must be a new store, no way you would have missed those if you were there before. I haven't seen a framer or naler since fall. They all show 27.00 30.00 48.00 etc still in all the stores. Never seen the metal connector though.
