Now interestingly, I was confronted tonight at my local store. Told I'm not supposed to be on store computers and they will not let me penny shop. I was actually clearance shopping. They also informed me there will be a new inventory system and pricing structure in the next few weeks being rolled out. This kind of explains the pricing I'm seeing this week.
These went from ~30 to 15 instead of 10 like everywhere else.

Lastly, as a screw you to the assistant store manager I went and pulled a penny item and walked over the CS counter where she was with a few other associates and informed her if I wanted to penny shop I could and she couldn't stop me. It was only two watts copper hot water heater lines but it drove the point home. It only makes me want to shop more as HD and Lowes drove out all local lumber yards and hardware stores.
That line about you can't use the computers is complete bs! My ones at my home depot are set up to let customers use the computers.
. Got it for $19 which isn't bad there was another Bosch laser leven marked N/H which I assume means no home but it was only marked down a few bucks. Also thought I scored a garage door opener but .01 but apparently is was the wrong one
man i'm about to just take a part time job at home depot lol
This new pricing is interesting. The Bosch should have gone to a penny, not $19.
Maybe HD is starting to have more clearance prices in an attempt to get rid of the stuff before it reaches penny status?
i.e. 38.03 to 19.00 then to penny, or maybe to another .03 price then to penny, who knows...
This could make things a little trickier.

I noticed the same thing over the weekend. An HD employee was pushing a cart with the huge husky duffle bags and she mentioned to someone that they were all penny items. I just looked at the tag and it went from 69.99 to 66.00.
Could be.
What made me wonder is the Ryobi radio/charger deal from BF. I forget the exact price but it definitely wasnt 04/02 or 06/03
That's what I think happened to all the Watts valves 98 to 68 down to 28.03 then down to 7.00 then to a penny. I'm fine with 7.00 that's a great price.
Ryobi radio/charger was 18.89. Weird price
While pennies are nice, I rather have most things drop like they have been doing wheres it's less than 10% if the cost of new. You can still make a good profit and don't have to worry about any BS at checkout. I still love me some penny deals tho.
Could it be that they are on to us?
That would stink, although Id get back some free time instead of spending it wandering the aisles of HD!
I have had success selling the DeWalt sawzalls and DeWalt ToughBoxes.
