Ugh!!! Every time I make the rounds to several HD, you mofo's post yet another item I need to look for. It's a never-ending vicious cycle!!! :lol_hitti

No it's not, I've been on here and seen something on this board thrown on some shorts and tee shirt and taken of to the store an hour from it closing. :dunno: crazy but sometimes just don't want to miss out on a deal.

Found a Powermate 3250 Generator today in the upper storage. Qty on hand said 0.

99.00 --- good deal.
SKU: 1000025965

it doesn't show up on the HD website but it's listed as clearance in store -- if you can find one.

was at another location that showed 2 of the Powermate 3250s in stock but we could not find either of them. The person working the area took my number and said he would look for it and call me if they found it. i don't expect a call but he was an old school guy so i trust he would call if they found one.

Dude I saw the same thing down here at one of our stores, the big one you have and the smaller one were 1/2 off. So were the plastic reals. You can get them cheaper on ebay. :lol_hitti

This is what being addicted to drugs feels like. I can no longer pass an HD without going in.

I call it a bucket o'cobalt bits...

There was a note on it that said "Janice said to leave here". But that was a bad idea.

Found the EGO Model # ST1201 12 in. 56-Volt Lithium-ion Cordless String Trimmer for a penny today. It was the display model, only one they had. No price or bar code, just the sku number. Had an associate input the sku. His hand held, showed that it was a penny. Of course he said we can't sell it for a penny. He went and talked to a mgr. Came back and said we can sell it for 65.03. I then
showed him an email I received from Corp. that stated if a customer finds an item for a penny, they can purchase it for that amount. Associate went back and showed the mgr. the email. He came back and said it's yours for a penny ! He even went up in the rafters and retrieved the charger and battery.

Well I thought I was going to get the Paslode nailer tonight, one up high w/o the jacket. Got it down and look crappy. Went over to the lady at the counter to take off the security tag and sure enough it was a used up machine.

I told her that it should be moved to the rental dept. It's not worth the trouble of asking about a lower price than $100.03.

I just passed on it , should be thrown in the garbage..

Oh well...

Today I met a guy to sell one of my Paslode's. While I was there he noticed the two in my trunk were different shaped cases. After looking at them I realized somehow when I placed a will call order at one of the stores they pulled the new XP model instead and sold it to me at the clearance price.

Found five of the 5 gallon buckets of Rust-Oleum Restore Deck Primer that rings up for a penny. SCO cashier started scanning them and when she realized they were a penny she stopped and called the MOD. Unfortunately it was the same MOD who threatened to call the police on me for trespassing last November because I was 'manipulating the system' when I purchased one of the 4 gal. water heaters for a penny which he tried to take away from me after the transaction was completed. He quickly recognized me and again accused me of 'manipulating the system' and demanded to know where I found the paint.

I knew he wasn't going to let me purchase it so I figured I'd be nice and show him where I found it in its regular location and just try to have a civil conversation with the guy. He just kept going on about how I must have been a former HD employee or was working with someone on the inside because no one could know enough about how their pricing model works to be able to find penny items and that he would call the police if he saw me in his store again. At that point I had enough of his bs so I pulled out my receipt and waved it at him from 5 minutes earlier with the 6 penny items on it that I purchased and put in my car before I went back to try to buy the Rust-Oleum primer.

Since this was my 2nd similar run-in with this particular MOD and I had already reported the first instance to HD corporate, I went ahead and called corporate again after I left the store to report my 'in-store experience'. Got a call an hour later from the store mgr who listened to my story but never offered any apology and simply said he would talk to the MOD. I definitely did not get the feeling anything would change at that store.

Damn you didn't notice? The cases are a lot different.

I guess when you take them back to the store they will just have to refund your money since they don't have the old one in stock anymore. Bummer!

Those are $1,350 here and still overpriced at that point IMHO. What's the date on the tag? I can't make it out.

I couldn't quite tell but most were updated to like 11/9 I suppose it could have been cheaper. I don't even know if I'd want one for like 59 bucks.

No, they charged me for the clearance sku but pulled the XP so I got the new one for $100. I sold it to the guy for $325 tonight.

Found the tool boxes, mower oil, and picked up one of the stackables today. Didn't bother with the air compressor but I'll be keeping an eye on it and couldn't find the fan or the door knobs... I've been looking for those damn door knobs for a long time....

Found 4 Rachio IRO Irrigation Controllers in a plain brown box in the overhead. These was no markings, no label, no sku. I should have waited till it hit a penny, but the orange shirts were in the store.

I stopped in one of the local stores to use the price checker today. Only my second time in trying this and not a good time. As soon as I began using an empty computer at the contractor counter a HD employee was all over me.. What was I doing, could they help me. Over and over.

I was looking for the large Milwaukee red tool chests. I wanted to see one in person and I cannot find them in the store.

For the life of me, I don't see how you all find these items. In my area there is an HD apron all over you soon as you want to "browse" the checker.

I had a similar situation tonight when trying to purchase a penny item. Unfortunately I didn't have an amazing email like that. What's the story behind getting that?

MOD was a total d**k. Cashier apologized to me for his attitude. She said he was new...no excuse. Store mngr not in and item was not worth a call to corporate...though I wanted to only to knock MOD down a few notches.

Should I fill out the opinion survey on the bottom of the receipt??

Had a discussion with a different MOD the other night, same store. This was after I purchased a penny item. I asked him to clarify penny policy...but I couldn't get him to spell it out. I said "so if I find an item and bring it to the register, I can buy it for the price it rings up as?" He didn't say no

I'd love to see this email. May come in handy when I go back to buy the Paslode with no jacket/sku for a penny.

Thanks! Still learning how to use their in-store inventory system.
Will go back and look for the pictures, never been too good at finding anything in my neck of the woods.

If you give a bad review on those receipt surveys, the store manager is supposed to get in touch with you.

Anyone know when the brinkmann's are supposed to drop again? Looking for one of the 69$ smokers but if I can pick it up at ~30 or so the wife can't argue.

Just looked at last years thread and there were only 11 pages by the end of January, this year 111. I think interest has a peaked a little.
