Nice haul!

I just installed my 3/4HP (ha ha! mine are more powerful!) door openers last weekend. I really like them.

Finding this stuff is starting to feel like Gold Rush......just kinda start digging and hope for the best.

I got one of the HD930EV 1.25hp from last year. So MINE is more powerful! :rocker:

That actually makes 3 of the HD520EVG openers over the past two days. I found two at the Springfield, MO, store. I gave one to my brother-in-law since his new house has an opener from I'm guessing the 80's. He'll return the $90 Genie that I told him about from the Lowes clearance thread. I'll help him install it at some point. Sold the other in an hour via Facebook for $115.

I hit all but I think 4 of the stores in KC. I kinda wish I'd have taken the extra couple of hours to hit all of them. Oh well.

Always cut the straps to open them before you list them to sell, I've ran into this a couple times already either where its used (like really used and corroded) or a different faucet is in the box than what is pictured on the box is in there.

I'm with you cut the straps I had two tempos with straps one had a broke "used " led display. Home Depot and Lowe's have strap machines, I've seen Lowe's employees use them on Bosch tools that were opened. My two paseload nailers had zip ties, I cut them opened both of them and checked them before I shipped them. your only out like 20 bucks it was a Penney right? It happens I just refunded a guy 75 bucks because one of my Watts valves arrived damaged, gonna do a claim with Fed Ex. Hopefully I'll get money back.

Yeah I stumbled on the idea after installing new GDOs over the weekend.

The GDO itself doesnt officially support LED bulbs directly plugged in, but Im hoping the worklights will work OK. Plus it takes care of the whole vibration-killing-the-bulb problem.

Our GDOs also have motion sensors in the control panel and can activate the light fixtures with a button for "always on", which means I can just use that to switch some aux lighting in the garage on and off.

I just picked up the Fein light from Costco to use in the garage.....Ill check out some HD stores for the CE one too just for additional.

My openers support LED bulbs in the sockets on the opener just fine.

Hd750wf manual says led might not work correctly and might interfere with remote control operation. Will try it anyway, never had luck with incandescent bulbs, even the heavy duty ones

Hmm, I didn't even notice in the 930 manual. I didn't really read it though to be honest. They seem to be working fine though, and no operational issues.

Mine is working great with 4ft Led light bar attached to it. Love the fact the motion comes on when i walk into the garage.

Now i need to wait and find either garage floor paint or expoxy to do the floor!

Haha! I had the same thought before posting. But they're not doing a very good job if I found all of that without any problem!! :D

Do you think they'd feel bad if you were late to the party. Hell no. Get it.

Mind sharing with us how you wire the led light bar to your garage opener?

The led bulbs are definitely causing some issue on my 7 yrs old chamberlain opener and the remote control. I have to pressed the hand held remote control 3-4 times before the door would close. But when I put regular bulbs in, the hand held remote closes the door with only 1 press.

On the other hand, the wireless keypad works great with led bulbs.:headscrat

This in one of the sockets: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Leviton-...-Outlet-Adapter-White-R54-00125-00W/100357036

Then plug the light bar into it

Ah yes, I am aware of this socket. But my LED shop light has a grounded plug. I thought he actually hard wire it. Thanks anyway.

Ahh, gotcha.

I plan on using the Feit lights from Costco and they are only 2 prong.

Cut the ground off the plug. My dad did that on everything we owned.

Any other new .03 or penny deals this week? I didn't see a whole lot when I checked Tuesday, but I should have checked again yesterday. Usually by Wednesday all of the prices are adjusted.

Milwaukee port-a-band was still $138, watching that one. None of the Bosch lasers are on clearance up here, except for the GLR225. I've also been watching some big Ridgid drain clearing thing on clearance but the price hasn't budged in a long time, still $300. I'm still seeing plenty of Nutone fans around, but waiting for them to penny out, hopefully next week.

The Bosch 3.5" 5 amp planer is on clearance at $55, warm deal. I think it's the same one I got a Lowes on clearance for like $18. Edit: nvm, mine is 6 amps.

Just for you, SPN.

Pretty sure this is currently on clearance for $349. IIRC I saw it last night.

thanks it didn't come up in this stores computer so I left it, found a bunch of google hits on it going back to 2012. Brother wants one after I got the dewalt from lowes.... its pretty much the same compressor.

Found the tool boxes, mower oil, and picked up one of the stackables today. Didn't bother with the air compressor but I'll be keeping an eye on it and couldn't find the fan or the door knobs... I've been looking for those damn door knobs for a long time....

I can't find the customer kiosk for looking up penny deals in my location. Associate is telling me that such a facility does not exist for customers to access and that I should be using a smartphone app to be looking up the directory for my local Home Depot location. Is this true?

Most of the stores near me have one at the customer service desk or one at the pro desk, or both. some stores like to turn them off though.

Some locations will have one near customer service, some have one or more facing out at the Pro desk, some have one or more in Appliances, all of which are supposed to be customer accessible. Sometimes employees don't know that, and still hound you or hover over your shoulder just watching and saying nothing. Whereas some stores, usually the ones with a lot more security set up - i.e. the camera and screen by power tools to show you you're on camera, as well as the camera and screen at SCO - tend to not have any computers for customer use. I will usually still hop on the one in appliances in those stores though.
